NWO... Is it necessary?

I think so. Why is the NWO a bad idea. If we are going to evolve and become like the people in star wars, we need a 1 world government so we're stable. I'm for it, we need one so violence is eliminated from our planet. Or else we'll never survive. What do you think?

What good is a one world government when it is shrouded in secrecy and shows no sign of working for the good of the people? If I don't know who is governing me, they don't do me any good, and they only serve to gain for themselves.

Why is the NWO a bad idea.

I think it depends on how you define a one world order. If you mean a world that is controlled by a one-party government, without ordinary people having control over it, then sure, no one would want that.

But if you think about it, the world is full of countries - there is no place left that is without government of some kind (then, there are definitions of lawlesness etc). The world is already filled up with regions - so I guess the real question is how sovereign each region should be.

If we are going to evolve and become like the people in star wars, we need a 1 world government so we're stable.

But since there has never been a one world government, no one can say that it is going to be good or bad. And you can't take an example from a science-fiction story, in which there is quite many and widespread conflicts (if you count all the books, games, comics etc).

Adding to that, the Empire in Star Wars tried to unite the whole galaxy, and we've all seen how that turned out.

Violence has been with us since the beginning. You would have to eliminate all ideas but the one which rules society - and who would decide that?

The world in it's current state and configuration and population level would never unite and accept a One World Order. Not everyone on earth can live like the hoity toity Americans, nor does anyone want to live in backward nation shanty towns saturated with sewage either. And those nations that have more wealth and advantages than many others will never give up enough to make things fair and equal for all their fellow humans upon this planet. Nope, no chance in hell of that ever happening. Not unless there was some compelling reason that drove them to unite and cooperate, such as some kind of global calamity that reduced humanity to a fraction of what it is today. That would be deserving too, huh? If they needed each other to continue to survive, that might drive them to unite, especially if their previous division is what lead to their current demise and predicament. And, they were smart enough to realize that this time.

Believe me, I'm not ready for a 1 world government. It sounds like a surveillance society. But if us people on earth never stop fighting wars among each other, then how can we expect aliens to confirm their presence. If aliens were to come to earth, we would have to be represented as a planet, not seperate countries.

I think by 2013 when people have their Real ID's we might understand that violence needs to become extinct. It sounds hard because people are unpredictable, but in a global society we would be advancing at a much faster rate mentally. I think it would be necessary, and it will happen, acourding to George H.W. Bush. We will be getting chips in our skin also. But movies like Zietgeist have some choppy material. They say the REAL ID will have a chip in it, then eventually people will have chips in them.

The Real ID will not have a chip in it, I'm not sure why, but it won't. Everyone will need one by 2013. If you don't get one, you won't be crossing any borders, or going on any plains. You'll still be allowed to drive in your state though.
But within 20 years, the majority of soccer moms will be putting chips in their kids. It's a benefit for safety. But do we need to be that safe?

We will have under our skin within 20 years. They will have all of your doctor's records and information. The chips will be used for people rushed to the hospital, when the patient arives, they will just scan your chip and all your records will be available.

I'm not ignorant though, and neither are you. I don't want a one world government. But I can't be selfish, the NWO would help so many people that I have to praise it. For the advancement of our species we will need to become peaceful and united. Then maybe we can meet aliens.

I think the NWO would cause more wars and death then we could imagine.. the countries that dont accept to be ruled over by one government, they would be taken by force. So those saying it would end violence and war need to think about how many countries would actually allow another government to come in and say were taking control of your country with or without your consent. I know i wont just sit back and watch innocent people killed for the so called good of the world! i would do whatever i could to help stop the NWO.

A new world order wouldn't end violence, you are right Jackson. If the NWO is suddenly sprung on us, people will be in the streets looting. I guarantee it. If it was announced, there would be lots of death. Not only in Africa or Asia, there would be violence everywhere. But what the NWO stands for is a global government, a government that has no conflicts because there is only 1. Why is it so bad? It would meen equal benefits for everyone, and hungry families would have help.

If Aliens were here and/or show themselves as proof they and larger civilizations exist outside the Solar System, the people of the world would naturally unite and work together to become a part of it.

Maybe that is why in Star Wars, you had the Republic and the Rebellion. The Republic was trying to have one form of government for all of the member Planets and their people. The rebellion did not want this, and hence Star Wars.

The Rebellion was formed during the "imperialisation" of the galaxy, when people who wanted to be free saw what was happening. Kind of the idea of the Second American Revolution, on a galactic scale.

No ... that is NWO in the making. Palpatine is Bush in that scenario (and Clintion before him, and Bush sr. before him).

One world government - (or in that case, one Galactic government) ..same difference ..one government under a handful of people!

Those handful of people make the laws (i.e. how many children, where to travel, what to buy etc.)!
