Axiom of Choice - A Walk By The Lake

from Wiki:

Axiom of Choice is a world music group of Iranian émigrés who perform a fusion style incorporating Persian classical music and Western music. Led by Loga Ramin Torkian who plays a variant of a guitar of his own invention that is fretted to play quarter tones, the band has a unique sound combining soaring female vocals, Middle-Eastern rhythms and melodies, and progressive Western production styles.

Beggars Opera - Alizarin Illusion Space

Alizarin Illusion Space
Lyrics & Tunes - Virginia Scott
Music & Structure - Ricky Gardiner

We'd like to think you'd
but I can
't be found
It
's just a hologram
of what could not be
Certainly dreaming
in a reality
of my knowing
alizarin illusion space
Round the mellotron
writing scores for the talk of town
It was just the same
They thought I was some kind of tigger
hiding in their heads
so they dismissed me

I was tumbled and tossed
out of a moving vehicle
and when I thought I
'd woken up
and when I thought I
'd woken up
I was in the lunatic fringe

He showered me with compliments
I couldn
't get enough of it
The seven year depression
had hit me like a nuclear bomb
So I softened to the voices
and fell into the narcissistic life
alizarin illusion space
I was tumbled & tossed

out of a moving vehicle
I was tumbled & tossed
out of a moving vehicle
and when I thought I
'd woken up
I was in the lunatic fringe
ah a -
ah -
What
's it like
in the alizarin illusion space
hey
come on
What
's it like
in the alizarin illusion space
alizarin illusion space
alizarin illusion space

This is an entirely new genre of music. It's called extratone.

It's something stupid like 15000 bpm. There is faster. I must be getting old, cos I swear I'd never say this but.....it ain't even music

Have been listening to Frank Turner for a while now, he is starting to get a bit of recognition.
Frank used to be vocalist with punk band Million Dead but decided to try and play a more folk orientated music but with a bit of humour and integrity.
Personally I think it works.

I know I'm breaking tradition here, but something different for a different taste.

I wouldn't consider the following any particular genre. The band's roots is in metalcore and rock, but they've become something else. Evolved, if you will. You can still hear some of their influences in there though. Stuff like Tool.

Their music is now a journey. Their new album literally feels like a single piece of music it is that intertwined, and it nearly tells a story.

I know this kind of stuff won't be for everyone, but I hope some of you not from Australia (They haven't broken the overseas scene yet) will hear this and fall in love with them. They are The Butterfly Effect.
