organic molecules found on alien planet

Thought this was a very interesting find. To find the first organic molecules in the form of methane on an alien planet. Hubble was used to find it. This is big news, proof that any kind of atmosphere has been found outside our solar system.

This was already discussed earlier. It is no big deal, some planets in our solar system have methane as well.

sorry, looked through the theads and didn't see it.

But just because it is on other planets in our solar system doesn't necessarily mean your going to find it outside of our solar system.

Atmospheres have been found. The first exoplanets detected were gas giants. But yes, this is definitely an amazing find! It's not proof of alien life, but it sure lends some support to the theory! Along with quite a few other discoveries lately!
