So it is obvious that a large number of people on this board support Tibet and the struggles of their exiled leader to bring peace to the country.
But beyond snappy bumper stickers and avatars and signature pictures what can we do?
Are there organizations working on a humanitarian level in the area who might need financial help or something of the like.
I mean debate and speech and opening others mind allowing them to also support the struggle of an oppressed people is wonderful but it doesnt really
effect a darn thing.
Boycotting chinese products is a pretty good choice for more than one reason, but historically boycotts really dont do a whole lot.
Boycotting the olympics is a mixed bag as it hurts a lot more than china and deprives the wonderful athletes from the chance to take part in the
culmination of their entire athletic careers. It also has the potential to breed lots and lots of resentment and misplaced anger.
So what are we left with, obviously we cant take up signs or arms and join them in the marches due to simple geography, but what can we do to help?
