Its sad to see that there are still people out there like you that are so stuck in hate that they can't see the truth when it stares them in the face.

You can deny those mass graves, but they are there and they exist. They have been documented by many people from around the world, but if it makes you feel better and makes it easier to harbor your hate for the US then by all means continue to deny the truth.

You are right and I apologize for partaking in the sidetrack that this thread has taken.

Can anyone point to any actual shortages of food in Ven.?
Price increases? Anything to show no food getting in to Ven. because the US is 'blockadeing' them?

Did not want to post in this thread since I think that there are many people than judge falsely from distance, and shamelessly symphatize with Chávez. But here we go again.

There is no blockade of food exerciced by the United States or any other country in Venezuela, PERIOD.

Venezuela is going through a terrible shortage of supplies thanks to none other than the bright socialist, freedom fighter, defender of the revolution, friend of the solidary peoples of the world (Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Libia) leader-friend Hugo Chavez.

1.- This idiot began by nationalizing key food industries:

2.- Then he threatened war with Colombia, (for those of you who don`t know, Venezuela gets almost all of its food and supplies from Colombia). He has closed the border as many times as he liked, keep in mind that it is through this border that the supplies come in.

3.- Then he made the most imbecilic food deals with his socialist friends, and of course got robbed, socialists are reknown in south america for their high ethics and moral values.

Those same People ARE on a payroll by the same People who run TV staions and newspapers.

With all due respect Apolon, nothing of what you have said refutes what I posted earlier. The sources, Bloomberg and Forbes are the first ones that came up on Google, and being that it was late yesterday, those were the ones I used. But please, you can find similar information in hundreds of sources within or outside the U.S.A., both in english and in spanish, and not everyone is an enemy of the revolution.

His dealings with the Argetinians in the food sector are now a famous example of how to get robbed. He is buying products like milk and meat for 30% or even 50% more of their market value, just to make his friends rich and of course hit the colombians, who by the way sell at a fraction of the cost with probably more quality, of what he is buying from Argentina or Brazil.

Chavez is just the latest model of a historical breed of populist leaders that have empoverished and robbed latin americans of their future. Chavez talks about socialism, but what people in the U.S. don`t get to hear is that there is a whole new class of oligarchs in Venezuela, this clown instead of making a real revolution and really distribute fairly the wealth from oil, has decided to make his bolivarian friends the richest people in the region.`

So that you know he has annonced today a new socialist plan for the poor today, he plans to install hundreds of circuses in Venezuela, because he says that when he was a kid he liked elephants. He cannot feed his population, yet he is spending state money on circuses.

do you have any valid info to back up your oppinion that we are indeed blocking the food lines? any verifiable sources? hell ill even take non verifiable sources at this point. id love to see proof behind your arguement but all im seeing is speculation and bias. now dont get me wronge im far from being one of those people who think america is blameless and innocent hell i even belive that we were in on 911. but there is verifiable info to back that side of a arguement up. but you dont provide any form of validation or even circumstantal evidence to back up your claim. so i again ask you can you provide anything to back up your argument or is it just speculation?

hmmm state instaled circuses so they can afford to house and feed exotic animals but cant provide food for the starving people in his own land. i guess as far as he is concernd any thing that distracts his people from the fact there starving and hes doing everything he can to make the problem worse is a good idea . thanx for providing the link i had to use babel fish to read it but atleast its new information.

I can't provide the information. I wasn't one sho started the topic but I wasn't a bit surprised to hear something like that.
On other site we were debating and warning others 2 years ago that since oil was found in Venezuela in enormous quantities something will br done by CIA to undermine their government, destabilize the whole country or just brand them as a treat to US which they did.
This was very obvious. If it's proved to be true I will not be surprised one bit if it isn't then I am glad that things didn't that bad so quickly.
That would actually made my day if this turns out to be a false alarm. I'll be a happy Man.
As for a Circus, well he's doing what Romans used to do to keep population happy during hard times with games and Gladiator fights lasting up to 6 months at the time.
You have billiards, stupid endles chat shows, Hollywood..
They are getting free circuses..
It is a same thing to keep population just happy enought not to rebel.
The pattern is the same all over the world if you look closely you will see that there is no difference whatsoever just games are suited for particular region that's all.
