ATS like CONFerence? Also Q on Def Con?

I was just thinking it would be pretty cool to see an annual ATS conference say in Vegas when maybe another big one is going on with semi like minded people. I thought of Def Con, does that still go on? Has any been to it?

Oh is there an ATS Conf or one that would cover such topics? If so please fill us in.
