edition.cnn.com

For years, rumors have swirled about other possible Manson family victims -- hitchhikers who visited them at the ranch and were not seen again, runaways who drifted into the camp then fell out of favor.

There has been speculation for years concerning the total body count attributed to Charles Milles Manson and his "Family."

Talk of "snuff" films being shot at Spahn Ranch as well as other locations. The mystery only deepens when confronted with the information put forward by Maury Terry and Ed Sanders of possible Satanic Cult links.

Connections to bizarre splinter cells that were once connected to the Church of Scientology.

Manson's own experiences with the "CoS" while he was still in prison, long before the murders.

The mysterious visit Manson recieved from two "Processians" after the trial for the Tate/La Bianca slayings. This same mysterious pair also paid a visit to Manson prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi on the same day.

Was the Process Church of the Final Judgement a "Dirty Tricks" wing of the "CoS?" Or for that matter the infamous and elusive Four P Movement?

Why weren't these investigations done years ago? Surely the idea was bandied about that more victims may be found at Spahn or in Death Valley proper, after the Tate/La Bianca murders.

If these bodies are unearthed, will an even more sinister story see the light of day?

I for one am not surprised. I remember their time very well. It was the end of the idea that "hippies" were all about peace and love. (Though they were no more hippies than Bush is a genius.)

It would be a slim chance that they could even be identified after this long, and considering how lax identification was back then. A lot of people went for years without any ID at all, so even if old wallets or such were buried with them, the chances of an ID would still be small.

It's sad that the Manson story doesn't seem to be over yet. Like an old nightmare that keeps coming back every few years.

Orange Sunshine and the Manson Family, that is what killed the Hippie era.
If the connection between '___' entrepeneur (and creator of the infamous "Orange Sunshine") and CIA asset, Ronald Stark and Manson could be further established, it would certainly force one to ponder the ramifications of Government agencies utilising Manson to sound the death knell for the "Flower Generation."
