Unusual Mayan Question, page

I've always been interested in the Mayan civilization. I was wondering if someone knew any new info or anything relevant that is provable, not really fringe since that is mostly subjective, I like it, but it is mostly guess work at best. Something along the lines of the new chemical discovery about the blue pigment they used to honor there gods. I am open to most new discoveries of there society, but tend to focus on artifacts that have been discovered and the elite ruling class daily life, and on little known facts.

Erm... new discoveries are made on a daily basis. The best way to pick them up is to join one of the listservs for archaeology.

Aztlan is probably the one you want. It's open to anybody and you will see amateurs and scholars chiming in. It's not strictly Mayan, and not all of it is in English. But perhaps it will give you a starting point.
