Being right in the middle of the u.k. a world trade centre would be a good idea .The idea of more jobs and prosperity for the residents of this city is definately sounding good.

The centre would provide links with 750,000 companies in 88 other countries around the world, thus putting the city on a global stage for trade.

Its not confirmed as we are only at the bidding stage. The article doesnt state which other towns are also in with the chance.

www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk... formname=sidebarsearch

But i got further down the article and found this

The first centres were in Houston, New Orleans, Tokyo and New York. The New York centre was the target of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The London World Trade Center, set up in 1991, was destroyed by an IRA bomb in 1996.

Why would they put this in the article.I was keen until i read this part???

I think Portugal is better for Atlantic trade and Indonesia for Asian trade.

Well Toyota ships go straight to California so who needs Indonesia.
