I think Putin had this for about 1 year to 2 years so far. Because he wanted to show his military strengh, and he failed to lanuch the missles, so he had to show something to keep him back into the election

Theres only one way to find out how goos those missles are. Lets launch a nuke on Russia and wait for retalitory action. If we all die,then those missles are as good as they say they are.

Example A., In order to get by the ABL(Air Borne Laser), it needs to get into "Orbit" Which I recall, Outsite earths boundrary. The ABL destroys the missle right after launch Before it could get into orbit. Which makes the Star wars project false. The star wars was going to "Kill" the missle in orbit.

You're thinking of a two decade old proposal...which has almost nothing to do with ACTUAL capability more likely than not... I'd think of the newer components more than capable of firing through the atmosphere....thus destroying a missile as it lauches....

Of course, the bigger threat isn't the silos we know of, subs, etc....it's the lone terrorist with one nuke, that we don't know of...especially hand delivering it and sacrificing themselves for it to go off.... There is almost NO defense against that....
