We have staff from all political bents. You are merely seeing what you want to. Seriously, what did you think you would find in the "Conservative" forum? That said, I'm a Canadian conservative.

I voted for Joe too. What did his honesty get him? The shortest term in Canadian history. He would have been good if given a chance. That said I voted against his successor. Mulroney has his own place in hell reserved.

If I took a few steps to the right, I'd be a Socialist. So yeah, there are more than Conservatives on staff.

I have a question...

*waves hand in the air*

This is the Political Ideology forum. How has it become The Conservative Forum? Is discussion of Socialism not allowed here or have the Rupert Murdoch's of this world actually grabbed the golden ring on this, the Merry-Go-Round of ATS politics?

Reminds me a bit of The Harper Government header on all current federal documents

The moderators here are Conservatives? I have not even noticed that. But perhaps it is due to the criteria for being a Conservative today is to be nothing more than a non-radical Liberal. There have been no moderators, and very few members, who are actually Conservative. Besides, Conservatism when actually employed is not an ideology, it is a philosophy.

Anyway, do not let my ranting spoil your vibrant discussion.

ok cool, this clears things up. it just seemed as though all the mods i'd come across were conservatives and that every single thread that was stickied was a conservative thread which was a bit disconcerting (and still is).

as to the assertion that this is the conservative forum, since when? last i checked this was the forum on "Political Ideology".

Thanks for the FSME translation. I did meet Clark...he was just known as Joe Who? for a piece...and was pictured a lot wearing idiot mittens.

And I don't live on the Rock...though I was screeched-in in the middle of St. John's harbour.

Hello everyone.

I believe in:

Corporate America
A Hand Up, not A Hand Out
Limited Federal Government
States Rights
The Constitution (Especially the 2nd Amendment)
Citizen Oversight of Public Entities such as the Police
Privacy in Our Homes
The Right and Responsibility of Parents
The Fair Tax

I would like to openly invite any opposing view points and liberal philosophy’s as I truly believe the essence of Conservatism is strong enough to withstand any and all scrutiny.

Hello semperfortis
I see you are truly indoctrinated by the establishment.

Corporate America is a monster. The idea that it could be a legal person is a powerfull attack on human rights.
Also the owner should be legally responsible for the companies actions. Blame should lie with said owner. If you have a legal system with no way of placing blame, you really don't have a legal system.
Corporate America is wreckless, shortsighted and cruel. Especially when you look at the 3.rd world.
It's positive effects on society is grossly overrated.

I don't know what A Hand Up, not A Hand Out is suppose to mean.

Limited Federal Government - yes
States Rights - yes
But that's pretty much the same thing, isn't it?

Should all americans have the right to nukes? If not, why?

Citizen Oversight of Public Entities such as the Police - OH YES!
Privacy in Our Homes - YES!!
The Right and Responsibility of Parents - If not, who else?
Thank you.

The Fair Tax - and what's that?
Well I'll tell you!
After the cost of living has been deducted from the income you get a sum that is then taxed.
That tax should be a progressive tax starting very low. But you could never end up with less money after tax after an increase in income. You always end up with more money in your pocket when you get a better income.
To make sure you have fiscal responsibility and a fair society the wealth tax and death tax are brought back. (At least till the debt and deficit are at a manageable level.)

semperfortis, do you belive in social justice and equality?
