So you're saying you would only let him watch over your kids if someone was watching over him. That means you don't trust him. And rightfully so. I am assuming he is no longer a cop? I don't think we should have people in power we don't trust, it's that simple. Let's not over complicate our intuitive instincts here.

heh, that would be a problem for me, since I really dont trust anyone.. especially not police. I try not to see things like that, but personal experiences have conditioned me as such.

For example: how many people here feel SAFE and PROTECTED when there is a cop car behind you on the road? How many people fill up with complete dread and paranoia, hoping to the gods they will not pull you over and make up some charge, or extort money / respect from you?

How many people here talk normally to a police officer, and how many of you change your entire speech, posture, put your had on straight, turn the music down, etc.

It's bad enough that they are intimidating, and they know it, and it's bad enough they brutalize people and plant evidence, and STILL get off on the charges... but now, a police officer is caught, and pleads guilty to one of the most heinous crimes that's ever hyped on the news... and he gets off too.

I hope this one gets as much coverage as the "Dont tase me bro!" case, but something tells me it wont.

No, you're not the only one. I'm simply not gonna post on this topic (except to say I'm reading of course, duh) because I don't trust myself enough. This kind of thing is... ***censored***

Just know I agree with you.

It wasn't tens of thousands. It was only 9 thousand

The only thing I could come up with was a highly compressed folder. Even if that was the case, that doesn't explain the monthly subscription to 'Sunshine Boys' and the fact that he pleaded guilty. The circumstantial evidence is quite substantial here. Case closed for me.

I hope people will dig deeper into this story and question the judge on exactly why he choose to give such a light sentencing for this type of crime. I mean we have people in jail now who have been in there for what five years for only downloading 10 pictures or so? Yet this guy paid a fee (Which they found, which clearly shows it wasn't by means of "Accident") and downloaded 8,742 images whether from a folder or rar file.

Either way all the evidence that he intentionally did this is shown in that credit card statement of $35 to that site. Would've thrown both of them in Jail, this isn't a judge...just some guy who got a robe and a gavel, that should be mine.

"(He is) not a pedophile, he does not have pedophilic tendencies," Mr Eberhardt said, citing medical evidence.
Link

I wonder what medical evidence there was to prove this? Plethysmograph perhaps?

This case doesn't surprise me in the least. QLD has a rather sordid history within its police force when it comes to pedophiles. If you look through a history of internet child porn ring busts that round up perpetrators in Australia, there are always a couple of cops involved.

He pleaded guilty because he got CAUGHT! pleading guilty is a garantee that you won't serve full term of conviction, in a hell hole, surrounded by people you've helped put away, being all the time, the worst kind of criminal there is, not a nice place for a cop to be.Nobody "accidently" downloads 8000 pics of young boys enaged in lewd activities, nobody, without KNOWING. Therefore he got caught, it was in the interest of his personal safety not to go to jail, as that WOULD be the end of him. Prisoners are people to too, with sons and daughters, there are no constraints when it comes to dealing with these sorts of people inside. The judge presiding would have factored all that into his decision. If he went to jail he was as good as dead, therefore they couldn't send him there. I believe a seperate prison should be built just for "these" types of humans. Porn is porn, and everyone accesses it I suppose from time to time. If you click on a site that makes you wary, then you back out, the decision to continue is yours alone. And at the end of the day who in there right mind hands over their credit card to access a porn site ? (dontcha know?)
This little copper is an idiot from start to finish.

I don't like cops don't get me wrong. There are some horrible cops, I've had friends beaten for very minute things they don't deserve, had my fair share of illegal search and seizures, so on.

But I am sick of people coming on here and saying you know 99% of cops are evil.

No, absolutely not, the majority of cops are decent hardworking underpaid citizens, one of them my cousin. I hate to say it, but we need them.

The problem is there are a lot of bad cops, but there are a lot of bad employees in every field of work. Cops seem to be worse, but thats because of the power they are entrusted in. I'm not defending this cop, god no, or any of the other horrible ones. If this was a regular guy, it wouldn't be posted on here. Whenever anything like this happens with a cop, it makes headlines tho. That's the difference and thats why it seems so bad. You don't notice when cops are doing their job, because everythings fine. Yes they have a higher code of conduct and should be morally above us, but in other cases, like the cops who sling drugs, common to a lot of these guys its just a job. This guy should be taken out back and given to in the head. This and other sick bastards like him shouldn't make us hate all cops though. I have met nice ones in my time to. Its a hard life. Its a job where they no they could be killed for doing it.

This guy is horrible, and he shouldn't have gotten off. Don't hate on cops in general. If you dealt with the scum of society day in and day out, yeah sometimes you'd be a little over aggressive too (not referencing this guy, just the general tone some people in this thread took).

I know this seems like a rant, but I live in Alberta and we had 4 cops gunned a down a couple years back for no good reason.

There are a lot of rotten cops, but most are family men, and its just their job.

I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying it is still minority of cops, we just here about every single case like this, or at least every case in far FAR more publicized. The guy from your work could be a sick pervert too, but I won't here about it in my newspaper. Like I said, cops should be held more accountable than the average Joe, but they are still just working class guys, some of them are going to be just all around bad people. That is what I am saying. Don't forget without cops, all the rest of the perverts, including this guy would be running free, because in a world without cops, with vigilante justice, these kind of guys would never be caught.

Absolutely. And it isn't just that you have to belong to a 'cult' ... this kind of behavior is built in to certain psychological make-ups. If a person is weak in heart, weak in mind, weak in spirit, he is more likely to prey on someone who is pure of heart, pure of mind, and has a healthy vibrant spirit.

This is why sickos and scumbags go after children. Even if they are not aware of the occult practice...

The truly frightening thing is knowing that these satanic, occult rings are alive and well and harbor MANY MANY government and political officials.

This could be considered off-topic in the strictest sense, but I believe it has merit toward the subject.

I know cops are not inherently evil. I also know that with greater ability comes greater responsibility. You say that not all cops are bad. I agree. But when you have any profession that inherently involves the removal of basic human rights and places the professionals in such position of power over individuals, the minority that abuse that power will condemn all in the profession. Just as one bad doctor can make a patient resentful toward doctors in general, one bad cop can make an individual resentful of all police, and when confronted involuntarily with the police, that individual will probably exhibit that resentfulness in such a way as to exacerbate the situation.

As a truck driver, I am aware of the damage one bad driver can do to my reputation. I therefore take extreme measures to separate myself from the ones I see daily tailgating or making wild maneuvers in traffic, thereby endangering others. I can do this to a large extent; My truck looks different from other trucks, my actions are obvious to those driving along with me, etc. But a uniform takes away this ability to separate oneself from the group.

Of all the professions, the police, politicians, judges, etc. have IMO a greater responsibility to control themselves than any other. And they face a greater danger to their reputation and ability to perform their function in society than any other. Yes, we need police, but we need good police only; the few rotten apples in this barrel spoil the barrel far more quickly than any other.

You are correct, there "used" to be a standard. It was called High Moral character, not only for the Police, but ALL those that held Power.

Also there was something I was taught in the Military, "lead by example"

However with everything that is going on right now it the world, are any of you really surprised??

In the USA to get employment you "must" have a drug screen, but to hold public Office ( which, again, "Used" to require "high moral fiber") You DO NOT HAVE TO BE. (It's considered an "invasion of privacy")

If the head enchiladas are doing drugs, thats OK, just don't have any lust in your heart.

This is one (of a GREAT MANY) symptoms of where the world is headed

" I can do all the drugs I want, cause I hold a political Office, but you better not so you can work so I can have your tax monies"

(it also may explain why the "aliens" avoid us so much)

the only way he could "accidentally" DL this stuff is if he had a DL manager that is setup to download files at off peak hours, like while you sleep.

(BTW I'm so very glad this was NOT in the USA......this time....
)

The Judge in the case probably understood how this could happen, because he probably also had an accidental subscription as well.

These people all cover for each other. These child porn rings thrive because they are run by people in high levels, people who know lawyers, doctors, Juges, Cops, etc.

It's all part of this corrupt system, and it does not matter which country it happens in the corruption is rife everywhere, and should not be happening, but more of it will be happening as time goes by, and it will get the same reaction it's been getting, and that is why these people can get away with this stuff.

Please don't generalize the word 'occult' with 'satanic occult'. They are most definetly not interchangeable terms! Occult implies esoteric and ritualistic magic, but it does not inherently imply anything sinister. Perhaps you are thinking 'cult'? I am sure there are some twisted occult/cult groups that practice evil stuff, but that's not what occult means, and it doesn't apply directly to the practice. Just like child molestation isn't officially apart of Catholicism. See?

Sorry for the rant and the OT. I just don't want people reading to think there is some connection between child porn and the Occult.

It is insanity!

As the father of two... well.. I am a peaceful man .. however if anyone ever tries to lay a finger on them... they better hope the police catch them first..

Lock and Load...

--And on a side note.. It is not hard to find this crap.. It is not even hard to stumble on it surfing the net!

However to become a member ..PAY.. and download 8000 images is really hard to believe to possibly be an accident...

Who wants to take bets that this swine gets nabbed again in Thailand or some other sex tourist destination?
