House for Sale: Non-Earthlings Welcome

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Map, News) - A mountainside house being auctioned in Tennessee is perfect for anyone tolerant of gawkers and fascinated with outer space: It's built like a flying saucer.

The home "landed" on a twisting road leading to Chattanooga's Signal Mountain in 1970 - just after television executives grounded the run of the original "Star Trek" series. It will be sold to the highest bidder Saturday.

The circular house - ultramodern when it was built - is ringed with small square windows and directional lights and perched on six "landing gear" legs. It has multiple levels, three bedrooms, two baths and an entrance staircase that retracts with the push of a button.

Is this perfect for ATSers, or is the design a little too retro?

That is so cool, I'd love to live in that.
The picture in the link you posted looks like it just set down from outer space.

I tried to find some interior pictures, but no luck.
It says it's posted on eBay and has a $100,000 bid, so I'll look there to see if there are more pictures.

Here's the ebay listing, complete with inside photos. I'd LOVE to live in that house! Our house looks like every single other house in this neighbourhood and I need something unique

Now that I see the inside I want it that much more.
Why be normal if you can be interesting...........

I agree AD...the inside is awesome! Noone else will have anything quite like it. And for $100,000, that's a steal! I'll bet they get way more for it though once people start bidding.

These are my favorite pictures.

Bar for entertaining guests, complete with a control(?) panel LOL

and...

That's such a crazy bathtub. I love it!
