Missing schoolgirl Shannon Mathews found alive.

news.sky.com

Missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews has been found alive in Batley, West Yorkshire, according to Sky sources.
Police had been searching for the nine-year-old for over three weeks.

The youngster has now been taken to a police station.

Sky's north of England correspondent Gerard Tubb said: "The girl has been found in the Dewsbury area - there is a very strong possibility that it is Shannon Matthews."

I hope that this turns out to be true, i'd like to think that teh media would not release a statement like this without good cause.

This girl has been missing for weeks now, and police were looking for a body rather than a missing kid.

Strange, they've just pulled the story but it's still showing on the main Sky News page.

She almost certainly had to with an adult. I find it hard to think that a 9 year old ran away and lived on her own that long.

Therefore I expect there will be more to this story.

Definately, Sky are saying that her mum is with the police now, probably being reunited with her daughter.

After all the sad news about Maddy this is great news.

Sky has just said that she was found hiding under the bed at her grandparents home!

Not sure if the grandparents were aware though.

Wow a happy ending to the type of story that usually doesn't have one. Will be interesting to hear more about this story and see what the little girl has to say. Hopefully she's ok not just physically but mentally as well...
