I don't think I could pick a game, specifically, but maybe a series. If I had to choose, as odd as it sounds, I would pick Pokemon. The single player game itself is pretty boring, and it's pretty hard for me to get through it because of how simple and boring it is. However, the metagame is superb. It's far deeper than any strategy game once you get down to the mechanics behind it.

GTA IV is a good game, but I just can't discipline myself to do the missions. It is too tempting to bash up pedestrians. So many smashable civilians to choose from

If I play for 30+ mins, most of the time is spent in hospital or jail because cops always catch me beating up pedestrians!

I agree, the civilization series is just awesome. I think IV was better than II though. It's just an amazingly moddable game.

For me, its an amazingly close call between Zelda, Star Tropics, and Super Mario 3.

Im leaning more towards Zelda...but the other two have left such an impression on me, that ill never forget them

Fable on xbox, Metal gear solid franchise, final fantasy 6,7 and crisis core on psp such graphics, god of war franchise, the punisher I could just go on.

I played the demo when it first came out a while ago and liked it but I just picked up the entire game and I must say it is awesome!

Right now my favorite game of all time is Mass Effect. It was so epic, the story, the characters, and the music man the music was and still is phenomenal. The sequel scared me at first, when I heard of the changes I was terrified they were going to ruin it for me, but no it was probably better than the first. It opened up the ME universe in a big way, the criminal underworld, a police force and the Collectors not to mention a visit to the Floatilla, I could go on and on, awesome.

Anyway yeah Mass Effect is where it's at for me right now with a very close second for Fallout 3. I spent 120+ hours in the Wasteland just exploring every nook and cranny, really immersing myself in the world, and that's before the add-ons which I still haven't finished because than it'll really be over. Needless to say New Vegas is what I'm most looking forward to this year, can't wait.

There's a few series I can't miss, Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Metal Gear. They all hold a special place in my heart and I can't miss any new installments.

As far as the story line it's Chrono Trigger all the way.

As far as how long I played it and how much it sucked me in, I would say Counterstrike all the way.
