Gold futures hit all time high - does someone know whats coming?

With all the theories about disclosure or niburu or end of the world happening soon, it seems an odd coincidence that Gold, probably the only usable currency in the event of world wide economic collapse and panic, is currently at an all time high.

Are the people in the know snapping up the reserves and hoarding? If there was full disclosure or a similar world affecting event announced there would surely be mass unrest, people refusing to work, looting and hoarding etc. Are the PTB preparing for this or am i just getting paranoid
