Man, we knew right from the start what this guys game was, and it all paved out correct: He was talking out of his arse. Admin needs to ban this lame-ass.

it would be nice to have an admin judgement on this member/thread.

i'm going to be pressing the 'alert' button now to get some response to it......

please note - i have already sent a ` ALERT ` to the ATS staff , outlining my concerns about this thread

it was sent some time ago - probally the last week of april .

i cannot remember just what i said , but :

i believe i pointed out that as IAN is now ignoring members questions - BUT still replying in other threads and signing in daily , that i believed that staff should demand an explaination and set a resaonable deadline for him to furnish said explaination

now as ATS staff do not flag threads as ` HOAX` without very good cause - IIRC only admins can edit threads titles to HOAX and they only do so if there is concencus amonsts mods and FSME staff who concur that there is no element of doubt or leeway

we should wait fot staff to respond -

well, the reply i got said they are aware of the thread and 'may' close it sometime but seeing as it's in skunkworks, they are leaving it alone for now.

i then asked the mod to say those things in here for an 'official' reason but they appear to have declined to do so or they would have done by now.

poor reasoning if you ask me for threads such as this. perhaps they should just rename it 'allowed fiction' rather than skunkworks, then members would know not to waste their time when staff refuse to do anything about what appears to be a member breaking ats t&c (or are they saying that is actually permissible in skunkworks then?)

Well, I was just wondering. Remember all those stories way back when , about a few "HAM" raidio operaters that picked up Apollo broadcast?

Now I don't know if they were real or not, but in any case...are folks with HAM radios still able to pick up "shuttle broadcast"??

Is there any update if this guy still signs on and posts threads or has he just vanished into the night. I'm glad I just came across this thread now and didn't lose two months of waiting like some posters unfortunately did. He should be banned if he doesn't explain himself.

Ian last logged in on the sixth of May. I've no idea how, if it's even possible, to guage what he looked when he did log in.

I still get the feeling that he's a wanna be conspiracy hero.

He had somany differing experiences, allegedly, and because of these I honestly think he has convinced himself that something wonderful was going on in his life. However, it's a good reflection on ATS that he's being given the benefit of the doubt.

I have to add that I've U2U'd him regarding these tapes, but as yet have had no response. If there was even a hint that something was going on behind the scenes, then I would have at least expected that Ian would have suggested patience. A subtle suggestion that something was going on behind the known picture would have sufficed to keep me quiet and enthused. Alas, as I've not recieved anything of the sort just tells me that we are dealing with a skilled troll.

Of course, I reserve the right to apologize if my assumptions are horribly wrong. But, as I've stated before; not, holding, breath. And I'm an asthmatic.

They were real. Here's one guys story about tracking Apollo 17.

As for listening in on the space shuttle. That seems to be a yes and no answer. www.spaceref.com...

Just came back here to check if this subject came to any conclusion -one way or the other. I guess since there has been no follow up from the hoaxer we can all assume it was (this thread the OP started ) a 'LURE' -I guess that’s how some folks get their jollies. Oh, well foiled again!

Just one little comment - and forgive me if it was already mentioned earlier. (To be honest I ended up reading only the OP posts).

His reference to 'our twin' in relation to this solar system (I assume) - I have heard this term from two different sources, and it relates to an alleged twin Earth-sized planet, in the same orbit around our Sun as Earth, but 180 degrees - so that it is out of view.

I know, I know, - I thought this was totally absurd and dismissed it out of hand. But, a few years ago while I was at the National Security Academy headquarters, in St Petersburg, Russia - I met several of their science guys who all believed this to be true. I did not go into it in detail at the time, but suffice to say, there are apparently many Russian astronomers who also believe this to be true.

A couple of the main guys went further - and claimed that this other Earth-like planet, on the other side of the Sun - was inhabited by 'people' similar to us, only more advanced. They specifically told me that some of the weird underground 'stuff' in the Valley of Death was put there by the inhabitants of that planet.

Anyway, that's my 5 cents worth.

Any way I believe that planet is called Vulcan. I remember a twilight Zone story on that planet , where the astronaut came back to a "twin earth" and he did not know this until he saw writing (it was backwards and he held up a mirror to read it) and everybody was the same etc...he ended up blasting off again and went to "his earth", lots of stories about that planet just out-of sight. Interesting.

Yeah, that is me. But I have only been on Art Bell once, as a guest of Linda Moulton Howe one night over 10 years ago. You might be thinking of Marcus Allen, the guy that runs our UK office. He gets asked to challenge the authenticity of the video and photographic evidence of the moon landing. (I think his take is that we went to the moon, but presented a lot of fake video and photo evidence in order to hide what they saw on the moon etc)

That Vulcan story is different from this one.

Valery Uvarov mentioned this planet also, when interviewed by Graham Birdsall, (of the esteemed UFO Magazine, UK) not long before he died. It has been posted and discussed already elsewhere on ATS about 4 or 5 years ago.

Quite a few of his Valery's colleagues in Russia believe the Earth used to be a tad closer to the Sun, with a 360 day year, and water canopy/vapour atmosphere. They reckon some rogue body came through a long time ago, and destabilised the equilibrium of the system, a lot! Earth ended up a tad further away from the Sun, in its present 365.25 day orbit/year position. In doing so, we experienced catastrophic earth changes, with the water canopy no longer being able to be sustained in the new orbit and conditions (meaning it rained or dumped for days on end - sound familiar don't it?)

Anyway, according to these Russians, the new orbit of Earth was not stable in some important way that I still do not understand. Apparently to fulfill Bode's law, or one of the others, the Earth needed more mass. So, get this, they reckon our moon was brought from somewhere else, and "parked" there - giving us a greater mass-system and meaning we have a stable orbital position around the sun. Valery hinted to me that they think the people living on the other planet were the ones that probably put it there.

I don't know what to make of it, but I can tell you - these Russians are NOT nutcases. They actually do have a whole academy devoted to researching all anomalous things, all with the approval and support of Putin and of the Duma. I went there and spent time there and looked around the place and asked lots of questions.

Thanks for that, Duncan! I bet I heard you on the Art Bell show 10 years ago, also! I Have heard the other fellow you mentioned as I hardly ever miss a good Coast 2 Coast show.

You gave me a lot to ponder (I keep seeing the Moon being moved to its present orbit in my mind) That is so darn interesting and I've never heard of this until now ( your information above) I'll keep getting Nexus Magazine so I can learn more!
