does that sound exaggerated to anyone else? i think they're either inflating that number to support some argument/agenda or they took an inaccurate
sample. either that or i have a skewed concept of the promiscuity of today's youth.
It sounds extreamly exaggerated. It sounds like they are trying to push the STD vaccine by Merrick. I believe that is what is at the heart of this new
finding.
If 1 in 4 sexually active teen has an STD and the same stats are saying 1 in 4 American's has an STD then something is off. If the stats are correct,
then you would expect to find the adult figures to be much higher.
Teens are having more sex, but these figures are suppose to represent all American teens 836 girls used to represent 12 million girls. I would want a
much higher sample before I go jumping the gun.
Also those figure included African-American, White, and I think Spanish youth only. What about Asian, Native American, South East Asian, etc. For
something that is suppose to represent all of American teens, they sure are leaving out a large percentage of them. Also this does not include Amish
teens, Mormons etc.
We don't know the socio-economic backgrounds of the girls or even how the CDC found the girls. I assume the girls came in for BCP (Birth control of
some kind) and then were asked to do the survey. This could mean they are only getting people who are already having sex, or who are thinking about
it, and then does that really represent an accurate sampling?
Also according to the survey, half the girls said they had not had sex. So were they raped, violated by family member close friends, not clear on the
definition of having sex?
There are way too many variables to consider. Also the 50% of black girls have an STD. In America every bi-racial girl still has to check off
African-American if she has a drop of black blood in her. So how many were of mixed race origin and counted as African-American only?
Unless the CDC give more info on demographics, and socio-ecomonic standings, also on how they found the girls, if the girls were compensated for the
survey, then I absoulutly rufuse to believe that this is a correct sampling for 12 million American girls ages 13-19. Especially considering they left
out Asians, Native Americans and South East Asians, to name a few. Those populations I am sure are hugh in some areas and without those figures, how
dare they say it's an accurate sample for all American teens.
The CDC should stop pushing the STD merrick vaccine agenda, and I honestly think that is a part of this survey. I would love to see someone else do
the same survey. I would also like to see this survery done for males. It was done for females however cause that is how the merrick STD vaccine is
being pushed on.
