THE war in Iraq will cost US taxpayers at least $US3 trillion ($A3.24 trillion), a respected, Nobel Prize-winning economist has written in a new book.

Joseph Stiglitz's book The Three Trillion Dollar War: The True Cost of the Iraq Conflict, concluded that US military operations in Iraq already have exceeded the cost of the 12-year war in Vietnam and is more than double the cost of the Korean War.

So its already cost more that Vietnam, and double Korea. And its gaining on WW2.

Shocking to see that so much money has been wasted. And for what. Oil.

If they had taken that $3,000,000,000,000.00 and invested it in research for a new fuel source then maybe the western world wouldnt be so dependant on the Middle East.
