I think the tsunami is an ultimate fear, especially seeing what it does with the recent event. I guess movies play a part of going to the sea and a
big strong wave sweeps your feet and you feel its power.
I felt some today again and the BGS website confirms minor consistant movements. Its hard to tell if the 200 minor quakes the UK gets compared to what
to expect of a large earthquake building up as being different. We can not really measure the difference. But even after The Chinese Earthquake and
the the Tsunami in Indonesia you find the big quakes did not give a warning and only months later you feel tremors and minor shakes. You never hear
on the news people felt a small quake then a big one, not even the ricter scales show that, well I think. So what we find is random quakes with no
warnings and minor quakes are probably a sign of stablising.
But I could be wrong as you can never tell if the minor quakes are a precursor to energy being built up for the final crunch, wish there was a
formular of detection like the weather.
