As I understand it from the diagrams there, it's taking a series of video frames, then it's playing them 'side ways'.
e.g. Like you had a deck of cards, then you shaved off the right hand side of every card in the deck, (1/52 of a 52 card deck) and reassembled each
1/52 set of slivers as a new card. Continue until you sliced through the whole deck.
Ha, I don't know if I am right, but that's what it looks like to me.
If this is what it would be like to travel through time and space, I don't know.
Really it's just fiddling with video clips though.
I think some really messed up extradimensional images are the hypercubes.
