I’ve got to tell you guys, I’m getting a little sick of hearing all of this “vote for change” garbage being thrown around. Every time I come across on Obama supporter, all they talk about is “change”, no one ever discusses the real issues or his positions on them. I don’t want to vote for “change”, I want to vote for someone who has real plans for the direction of this country, not simply a broad generalization.

What is change anyway? Is Obama going to bring change for the better or worse? I have to tell you, honestly, change for the sake of change scares me. Tell me you want to change things and give me a plan for those changes, and we’ll talk. Tell me you want to change things for “hope” and “change” themselves, and I don’t trust you.

thanks for posting that video,

i am always impressed with Ron Paul's integrity and commitment. he reconfirms (for me) in that video that he would make a good leader.

i hope Ron Paul does run a third party ticket. i voted for him in the primaries and would definitely vote for him as a third party candidate.

And I have a pretty hard time trusting anyone that thinks $3.35 a gal gas,
War in two countries, a looming war in Iran, torture, a tanking economy and a corrupt and lying administration doesn't need changing. McCain isn't going to "change" a damn thing except embrace NAFTA and the NAU a little tighter so that we all will have to habla espanol.

I used to work for an old carpenter that used to tell us young framers when we were loafing; "do something, even it it's wrong" It's come to that in my opinion.

I'm a life long member of the GOP and I see a distinct need for "change" and I "hope" we get some soon before It's to late.

Statis quo? Nope, I don't trust you either!

I agree. McCain today attacked Billary and Obama for criticizing NAFTA. In addition, I don't want my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren still dealing with his Iraq 100 year war.

How many hours a day do you spend reading policy?

Earlier today, before I read this thread, I looked up at my bulletin board and thought of removing my handmade Ron Paul banner (rEVOLution!).

I love Ron Paul and I think he'd make a great president (because he is a well-meaning, honorable man). But I saw the writing on the electoral wall a long while back and deduced he was not gonna win. It's sad, but a fact.

I've long said I would vote for Ron Paul in the primary and Obama in the general. I'm in North Carolina. Now that Paul has pulled the plug, I guess I'll just sit back and wait for the general. I can't wait to vote for Obama.

I see your dilemma, Easy.

If you dislike McCain as a person it might be a good idea to vote for him in the hope that he'll make a fool out of himself while President, thus ruining his "legacy" which is oh so important to our political leaders.

Or you could vote for Hillary or Barack because you don't like McCain and still have your financial problems unsolved either way.

Whichever one you choose is of course up to you. I'm a Ron Paul supporter so i'm at this point undecided as to who i will vote for.

McCain is quite simply more of the same...his views on immigration, and trade are reprehensible to me. Plus I just don't trust him...

My issues with Obama are he hasn't said how he's going to finance this "change" he's prattling on about.

...and Clinton? Less said the better, don't like her, don't trust her, just as soon she go away, far, far away...

So, as you can plainly see...you are not alone in your dilemma. Good thing I have all summer to research the other independant parties. Though tie me down and tickle my toes, I'm easier with Obama than I am with either of the other two.

thanks everyone for your posts,

i started this thread because i am really and truly frustrated by what i am faced with in this election. i am sick and tired of having these terrible people forced down my throat as candidates to the presidency of the United States wich is the greatest and most important country in the world.

i feel these people represent me and reflect everyone in this country and to have candidates that are imo not worthy of this job is an insult to every American.

i am glad you all have replied because i know that i am not alone in feeling the way i do and to know this really is helping. sorry if this sounds like i am ranting , but i am kinda pissed about it.

question is what can i do to change this situation ?

i wish i could talk to Ron Paul for ten minutes...just ten minutes !

i would make him understand how important it is to many Americans that he run that third party ticket.

i am afraid that if he doesnt...i wont know what to do election day.

i believe You and I, and the majority of Americans are in this dilemma. how much longer are we going to continue this kind of forced goverment ? when are the people going to rise to the occasion and do something about it ?

Though tie me down and tickle my toes, I'm easier with Obama than I am with either of the other two.

you had me laughing on that one.

i for some weird reason feel the same way...he is either the best salesman i ever heard or he really believes in what he say's ........it's the only way to describe him.

Obama is pro choice

Billary is pro choice

McCain is pro war

Jaun McCain is, and has been, my favorite libleral...

That being said, i think that we need to vote for Obama, i tired of this slow bleeding death...

At least if we elected Barrack Muhamad (Not that) Hussaein Obama, it will be intresting...

Wouldn't mass chaos be more intresting then a long slow death fron Neo-sonservatives...

Im just saying, why vote for some guy that is pretending to be a conservative, when after you give hin your vote, he will stab you in the back...

McCain wasn't going to win his seneate seat this term, so what should we do... give him a promotion? Although that is the Washinton way, it should not be the way of America....

So I'll say it again, Vote for Obama, becasue Mass Chaos is more fun then a slow and painful death of this county...

I mean come on, Comunist Russia wasn't that bad right...

Basicly, we the people get what we dererve, Look at the shmucks that are running for office, Empty suits, and skirts, that offer nothing.

NOTHING...

Obamas retheric is tha tyou can have Hope... Hope, thats it. Don't expect an ything to change, but you Hope it does...

Thats his big ticket, i will give you hope... (but just don't expeect me to change anything)

So vote for Obama in '08, so that when 2012 rolls around, were will be the USSA (United Socilist States of America)

Thats all...

I feel your pain. I'm in the exact same boat. I don't think not voting is the solution though. You need to balance your opinions on the war with your other views and pick the option that most closely resembles them. If the war is your #1 issue, vote for whoever the democrat options turns out to be. Otherwise, vote McCain. You need to keep in mind that regardless of whether or not you vote, one of the two is going to win the election. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain for the next 4 years...

First off let me say I have voted Republican for some time. Because the Republican ideal is that less government is good. Less restrictions on businesses that actually work great and make people money. Less taxes on its people are needed because there isn't a government programs for every type of thing in the world. The Demo's are suppost to believe that government has to give everything to its people like a type of Communism, or socialism. But the rules seem to be broken and both sides seem to be a mix of people who don't believe in anything.

1. If its Hilary vs McCain I will vote for Hilary because she already ran the country for 8 years and we didn't didn't fall of the edge of the earth into the abyss. Plus gas prices were nothing near $4 a gallon (.99C), people who signed up for the military were not given extended service that would never end (on the negative side they closed way too many bases).

2. Obama vs. McCain I would vote for McCain because he is the lesser of two evil in my book. Obama is a political child who is only where he is at because Oprah decreed it so. I refuse to vote for him just because he's black. The guy was an alderman who didn't even serve a full term in the senate before running for President. And don't even try the hate mail that i'm a racist. I don't care that he's black. I see him for who he is. If you wanted me to vote for a black guy I could believe in you should have gotten Collen Powell to run. I would have voted for him.

Vote for McCain anyways. The only other viable option will probably be Obama ... and that is WAY WORSE. Think of it this way - you aren't voting FOR McCain, you are voting against Obama.

its a shame that i have to vote for someone i dont like.

i believe McCain is going to win because of Israel.

i believe Bush was elected because of the Israel intrests, and McCain will follow in his footsteps because of the instability of the Arab region.

so in other words to become president you are going to have to be Israel friendly or you wont win.

www.breitbart.com...
McCain heads to Israel, Europe

i totally agree...i did it in 2004 and guess what ...here we go again.

i feel voting for a candidate that starts a war and thousands of people get killed is like me killing them.

so what if i vote for McCain and he starts a war with Iran...i will feel like i feel now with Bush...like i have blood on my hands because i was forced to vote for him to keep Kerry out.

i feel a vote for McCain is a vote for WW3
