A beautiful pinwheel in space might one day blast Earth with death rays, scientists now report.
Unlike the moon-sized Death Star from Star Wars, which has to get close to a planet to blast it, this blazing spiral has the potential to burn worlds from thousands of light-years away.

I am no space expert, but this doesn't sound to good. Could this be an event that ends our civlization? I am hoping some of our science guys can expand on this and provide more info. Anytime someone says they like an object because of it's beauty and then says it is like looking down the barrel of a gun, it can't be a good thing.
