Har Har.. the things you do to avoid going to the gym..

I was digging around the ATS archives when I came across a certain songbird..

So I decided to do an 'old school' remix..

This girl's got talent.

O yeah.. you have to guess who it is....

Sounds pretty good, Agent! Love the bass... The lead is really nice, too. Is that you?

Cheers guys.
It's all in the Vocal..
It's either a very talented FEMALE singer.. or someone was wearing pants five sizes too small

I tried reviving the old thread but had a settings prob on my IE when I tried a million times to post the mp3.

It's amazing what you find when you start digging the ATS archives..it's full of real talent..

......

If there's anyone else out there wants a 'remix' do what the mystery(*COUGH ..* B.Heretic*) Singer did and post a vocal only with the key and Bpm and pick a 'style' you want it done to.

(If you don't know the key.. not to worry.. I can do it in K#)

Try a megadance version. Extra points for guessing the band the hook sounds uncannily similar to.

Aww you had to bring exercise up!.. It's cold n windy outside and I haven't washed my gym vest
Haha rowing machine set up in front of 'Blade 3' I think

Glad you like it.
No kidding though.. You have a voice that really suits the 'Diva-dance' style.. It got a little too 'FXd' Coz I had to speed it up to 120bpm and cover up some glitches with x-fading and delays.
(And one note didn't quite fit but I won't say which one..Hell it ain't 'Top of the Pops' in here:lol

Can't do any of my work coz the wind is too noisy n I haven't got any sound proofing.

I'm so glad there's a date/time record here because this one is SERIOUSLY BRILLIANT and would be worried about someone claiming this as their own ..

Luvvverly stuff..
The B/V track will save ages..
You can use H/P L/P filters to extract vocal from the track but it's never perfect..You always get spillage of course.

I Just boosted the vocal one you sent and I can hear it much clearly balanced.. I can even hear the track from inside your headphones.. I get the same thing..

Are you using the same mic your were discussing in your thread? It's certainly not bad results.

You've definitely done this before.

(You're in F#Min at 72 Bpm BTW..
I might tweak it just a tad faster.. See how the New drums sit with it.)

I can't get the tune out of my head already..
The others above were playin.. this ones 4 real. Woohoo!

Oooo I can feel an R&B coming on for that last one.. But for now I'm putting my fingers in my ears and going "lalalalalalala!" So it doesnt distract me from this one.

Recorded Drum kit Bass guitar and Organ for 'Wind' already..
I couldn't put it down till 4.30am.
The neighbours were furious lol.(Headphones really )

I'm going through A "Fleetwood mac" and "Neil young" collection to see what gives them that 'sound'...
Maybe a bit of "Queen" thrown in too

About 20yrs salary of music gear

Every time I get some spare cash it goes on something else..
Just tried out my new 'pod' for the guitars on this one(line 6).

B3 organ and 72 Rickenbacker bass come from 'colossus' (eastwest)
Drums from 'Addictive Drums'.. (best thing I ever bought.)

Ran the vocals through T.C electronics Voiceworks(hardware) to compress and enhance.

Most of the stuff I love to use is outboard(hardware) gear and the page isn't big enough to list it.

My next 'desirable' is an Orchestra sample bank 'EWQL Platinum Pro XP'.. Maybe next month...
It's unbelievable.. You can do Hollywood quality movie scoring with just that alone. 138 GB though so will have to get a new ext. drive too

www.soundsonline.com...

Click on the jukebox in the right corner...
I often go there to torture myself listening to it.. Gimmee gimmee gimmee.
