I cant find any other corroborating links as yet, but this has literally just broken on the BBC website.

Contrary to the hopes of US Politicians and Generals, it looks like a definite trend of renewed violence has begun, in the face of recent perceived successes of the troop 'surge'.

BBC's the gold standard. This news is unfortunately most likely true.

Condolences to the families of the Troops that were killed. There is also a "surge" in the use of women to become suicide bombers.
