I just want to say that I am thouroughly impressed by this "reply." Too many things line up for it to be a hoax. I feel that skeptics take the fact that lame crop circles made by man that use simple geometry automatically mean that all are synthetic. Some of the signs use perfect Euclidean geometry and are impossibleof being done over night. It would be a pretty strange coincidence if somebody new this much about the message sent to understand it, make a response AND be able to make the symbol in a feild. I don't think so.

As for the sign itself and its location, our message gave the location of the telescope (communication signal) so why wouldn't you reply there? And another thing, later in the thread someone showed the symbol on the "reply" had appeared a year before the "reply" itself. If you ask me, that was probably a breif signal as to where the "reply" will show up in a short period of time (1 year). IT makes perfect sense to me and I am very excited about it.

I have dowsed crop circles for a few years now, and was for some time Field Reasearch Officer for the crop circle magazine CCCS here in the UK,so I know a little about the subject of crop circles.The Earth Energy in any real/genuine crop circle is immense, it contains both radial and spiral energy thats starts right in the middle of the design shape and then moves away,and can be dowsed for hundreds of miles away, perhaps even further out than that even.Both 2002/3 I dowsed blindfolded to two nominated crop circles with the driver going the way I dowsed the energy ahead, AND arriving at the field where the formations appeared, with the one distance 98 miles, and the other being 95 miles away.The one formation was called hoaxed ( moire) and this made my blood boil, and the researcher should have known better, so as to make a point, I dowsed that distance blindfolded to prove it contained this special energy and was genuine....Anyway getting back to the thread, at the time and now I believe both the 2000 Chilbolton/2001 formations to be genuine, that is they contained this wonderful powerful energy that hoaxing CANNOT produce with their work.How any ALIEN people can induce this planitary energy to release I dont know,AS I see any genuine crop circle like any LIGHTNING STRIKE,where the inner energy of the planet rises to meet another force within the atmosphere or above striking downwards.The design left in the field I believe to be the left frequency of this mutual destruction of these two immense forces,like a SAND TRAY where a tuning fork has been placed against the tray to produce a pattern of that frequency/fork...The question I would ask is did in fact the ALIENS answer, or did the planet return the message that had been sent years before, Im still scratching my head on that problem.

What if the message was sent out was intended to decieve? They could have planned to respond back and thereby trick the populous into believing there are aliens in contact with us and possibly a threat.

This would fall under "the lie is different at every level".

This would also be covered under the testimony of the woman that testified in the Disclosure Project that told about the plan to keep the military industrial complex going. Commies, terrorists, asteroids and aliens.

I just want a peaceful life with the freedom to live in synch with the world around me. Is that too much to ask?

I have been watching this thread for a while now.

What I am about to say may not make sense, not immediately.

A 2D universe can support only one life form, because of curvature. The surface of our universe is a 2D universe. In a 2D universe there is no "real estate" to speak of.

A 3D universe can support many lifeforms, but just as a 2D universe is in reality a 3D universe because of curvature, ours is a 4D universe for the same reason. There is also much free room, so even if a high society can exist every 600 LY^3, only one out of a million planets could support life as ours does.

A 4D universe can support far, far more life than we can wrap our little pink brains around, and is also realistically 5D for the same reason once again. In a 4D universe time is curved, which would allow 3D and 4D intersections. Inanimate objects in our dimension could take on new characteristics with the increased degrees of freedom in a higher dimension. So life is far more prolific, and "real estate" even more vast.

Gravity is the culprit for this curvature, allowing even up to 10D universes to exist. Gravity, unlike sound, which cannot travel in a vacuum, and energy, which does not boast absolute depth penetration, is all pervasive. It vibrates to form all the worlds and they that dwell upon and within them. When the conditions are right for an intersection to occur, gravity is modulated to produce these "CCs", where the action takes place on a 2D plane, altering the organic content of the stalks.

We cannot even launch a boat or fly a plane without the conditions being just right, so when considering intraterrestial communication all parameters must match correctly.

So there are other worlds that boast life, and they are right here with us, not on some far flung star system, unless we are just bound and determined to meet folks just like us. But then we would be in for a real lonely journey.

To our miraculous residents, known by many names, most recently as ETs, I raise my glass in toast, may our future relations be peaceful and fruitful.

The "alien head + circular bit pattern crop circle" just jogged a memory for me.

The circular writing style seems similar to the "Dropa stones" which were found in the Himalayas. If I remember correctly, they also used a spiral writing style.

Very interesting Matt! It boggles the mind how little we know! We've been talking about linear distances in a 4D universe and therefore the time required to reply. But then as you say, there could be a parallel or >4D universes existing right here where time is not a constraint. And neither is space!

And then we have quantum and string theories that point toward these esoteric concepts.

I think the whole point is that nobody know what the case in question is.

An echo might be a return radio signal, or it might be a distortion through a different kind of reflection.

It is possible to create audio echoes electronically as well as naturally and, not knowing what secrets the Universe has yet to divulge, I won't close my mind to the possibilities of natural phenomena we haven't identified yet, nor to the poor transcription abilities of alien intelligences.

My brief (and admittedly glib) comment was a reference to the faint possibility that our own signal may have returned to us through some natural distortion as yet undertermined and landed in a field near its origin. I don't state it as a fact, because I'm smarter than that. But we didn't learn about microwaves until very recently, we don't understand gravity yet and we haven't even heard of picagammatronic radiation yet.

Keep the mind open and even the answers we don't want will be acceptable.

However I am sure this one is, I have seen many beautiful designs in crops but I do pity the poor farmer they really must P him off. But hats off the artists.

So who had the really bright idea of sending a signal to a star cluster 25,000LY’s away, taking a round trip of 50,000LY. He should win the Nobel Prize right?? Who in 50,000 years would even recognize the answer??? It just seams daft to me. Apart from the fact that Steven Hawking has said that this is not the very brightest idea’s in the first place and being that he is one of the brightest minds on the planet right now I would tend to consider his argument. His point is that who ever we may just get in touch with just might not be so friendly. Now looking for signals with SETI would seam to be ok just knowing that there is intelligence out there. The danger would only come if they find us.

Now ET being behind the CC’s anyway the argument being that they want to reach us all rather than just a few scientists who are likely to keep it under cover or at least they will when our governments hear about it anyway. Like receiving the instruction on how to build a power source that costs nothing and is renewable without harming the atmosphere would turn into a weather balloon. Well they most likely have done it before.

If ET wants to tell us all he is out there he will interrupt the news at ten. In my very humble opinion he will not do it in corn and of a fashion that only the scientists could possible understand. ET would want to know something about us so he would want to talk only to the brightest among us I can’t imagine he would want to converse with devotee’s of the latest soap operas.
