Will the United States attack Iran? Before the Nov. Elections?

I have been having some disturbing dreams of late, including massive war, but this thread is not about my dreams or nightmares.

I'm wondering about this article Link about Fallon being replaced because he doesn't support a attack against Iran.

With a huge election year going on, will Bush and Chaney launch us into another war before they leave office? It seems we can't afford one, but we have all seen what a Gulf of Tonkin incident can do and what effect it can have, Notice I didn't include Pearl Harbor or 9/11?

Anyway, what say you? more war?

I think it is entirely possible. I'm not very familiar with the United States Government/Politics Rules, etc... But... From what I do know (assuming what i've been told is true).

That IF the United States is in a State of War, there will be no elections? Correct? If this true, I wouldn't put it past either of them, to invade IRAN declare a state of war, and then drag out the presiency just a little bit longer...

That is not true. There would have to be a declaration of martial law and even then I am not sure he could postpone the elections. FDR was reelected during WWII, Johnson elected during the Vietnam war, as was Nixon.

Won't be a war. People have been saying this thing is "right around the corner" for five years now.

i have been having some crazy dreams too but they did not include war. will we attack iran? no

Thanks for Clarifying, I wasn't too sure how the United States Works with Elections etc... (For some reason I thought that was the case, that if the US was at War, elections could be postponed... )

The chance is substantial that the US will go to war with Iran before the November elections. In the 80s Israel destroyed the Iraqi nuclear reactor on a Sunday morning when no one expected them to strike.

Israel will drag the US into a war with Iran and my bet is that they will do it before Obama is elected to be America's next president.

i cant see america having any allies left or atleast support if this was to happen, and end up getting attacked by a load more nation's in return then the europian's & brits will be dragged into it when america is in serious sh*t, tut tut
