'We did it' letters eyed in NY bombing

Just thought I'd mention the Ricin in Las Vegas. Has there been any more info out about that? Who is the guy in a coma?

So we have him, ELF, wacky letters to Congress, the NYC thing, a kid from Cali, and tons of random gun violence.

What's next? Who's next?

Well my speculation was only as good as the sources that provided the information at the time.

It would be nice to have all the info so we can better understand what is happening here, but I guess it takes them time to decide which way to send us.

Two different unrelated events? The bombing & the "We did it" letters. Strange coincidence, but still believable. As usual we are mislead by those who are supposed to inform us & those that are suppose to protect us. Maybe that's what the bomber felt all along. Ha...

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to do our usual post interpretation of events as they lead our views in circles. Bastards. Dirty bastards.

My humblest apologies for not reading the entire thread and I did notice that one poster did connect the Chinese and Persian new year but in case nobody noticed March is the month of the Iranian new year!!!

So, it would seem that if the bomber was in a hurry and just wanted to put down something and they were Iranian, this would be likely to come to mind.

Not by any means saying it was an Iranian but you have to admit, there's a connection in this theory.

Why assume the person may be Iranian simply because the Iranian new year is in March?

Maybe it was a poor attempt by someone else to frame Iran?

I don't think anything I said gave the impression of an "assumed Iranian".

The point is to explore possibilities. If you consider all the factors (terrorism, Iran/USA relations, etc..) combined with the fact of Iranian new year in march and a bomber in a feverish hurry to write something on the card....Just trying to think thru the human nature of it. Think about this: If an American had a blank greeting card in their hand on the first week of January, what's the most likely phrase (percentagewise) to be noted in that card? Then add to the scenario a heightened sense in executing a task attached to said card and then add the bomb aspect. Suddenly the percentage would go up on that likely phrase. To cut to the chase, the phrase "Happy New Year" is going to pop into your head 99 times out of 100.

Obviously the theory could be wayyy off but it is sensible as well.

But these letters were mailed a week, and possibly longer, in advance of the bombing. I don't recall hearing there was a letter/card at the bomb site. They were mailed to Congress, and as someone said earlier, this would take at least a week.

Considering they got to Congress the very same day, this had to be at least a week before the bombing itself. That's not really a hurried situation.
