NORAK: Secret Russian telescope array in Tajikistan "The Window"

Well it was probably never really secret (I hope not) seeing as the telescopes are housed in shiny silver balls. This "electro-optical" telescope array facility is called OKNO or "The Window" and is actually in Tajikistan. The telescopes see out to 24,800 miles, or roughly 10% of the distance between the centers of the the earth and its moon.

I wonder if they can see the ships JL Walson sees?


This facility was transferred to the Russians in 2005.
