A Mars coverup? Hmmm?

With all the fuss about strange objects on Mars, it suddenly occurs to me. Where in the Mars is Dejah Thoris, not to mention John Carter and all the other myriad characters I grew up reading about?

I know...it's a NASA coverup.

I want my Dejah Thoris pictures, and I want 'em now!!!

Surely there are pictures buried in NASA archives that show us Helium, and the mighty floating battleships of its navy. Or the ravaging hordes, dare I say Galloping, of green skinned barbarians? Or all the ruins of cities on the lost seas of Barsoom.
