The village of Sarpourenx in southwestern France has encountered a dying problem: the local cemetery there has run out of space for people to lay their loved ones to rest. As a result, strict measures are being taken.

Mayor Gerald Lalanne told the residents of Sarpoourenx that "all persons not having a plot in the cemetery and wishing to be buried in Sarpourenx are forbidden from dying in the parish", adding that people breaking the law would be severely punished.

Dying in the houses of parliament is illegal too because anyone who dies there in entitled to a full state burial.

Even people who are on a tour of the place are entitled.

How does that statement even make sense? It is against the law to die someplace because you get rewarded for it. Huh? That is like saying, "It is illegal to shoplift because anyone who does is awarded a million dollars."
