I have this Emerson TV and last week the remote that came with it started to not work sometimes. It would work, then the next time I picked it up it wouldn't, then it would.

Well after getting fed up with that crap I bought a new universal remote. I did the code thing and it worked fine. But then it started doing the same thing as the other. I would use it, walk away, come back, and it wouldn't work.

So I got another one, but it doesn't work at all. Is it a problem with the TV? Anyone know what to do?

Only other option I can think of then, and I admit it's a drastic measure....
Get a wife and get her to turn the channels over for you.

Try some fresh batteries. When the power is low in a remote the signals get screwed up.

This is not a one line post..........

If that doesn't work, dip it in strawberry yogurt and deep fry it. Then sling it in the microwave on high for 2 mins, that will send it back in time to when it did work!!

do you have a warrenty on the TV or something?
take it back to the stores and ask them to check the Infrared receiver in the TV that may be playing up. or some internal component.

You are obviously a devotee of the jedimiller school of problem solving based at the Institute of Microwave TimeTravel.

It offers solutions to most common occuring problems which are otherwise beyond current known understanding.
