Hi folks -

I've just got in and caught the back end of a BBC show regarding a planet very similar to earth and ET life.

It's viewable online at

BBC iPlayer Link

for the next 6 days...

I'm watching it now and it's started off with Seth Shostak being interviewed.

Thought I'd throw it out there - will add more when I've watched it all...

Looks interesting.

Check it out if you have time.

You've got me baffled...

Life on Mars - that was good entertainment from what I watched.

Could you please explain what you are talking about?

According to your link, since I am from Canada I am not able to access the bbc's video. Do you know of another site showing this clip?

Hmmm - I'll have a scout - it was only shown on the BBC an hour ago.

That sucks if you can't access if from abroad...

I'll get back to you.

Just for info, BBC iPlayer will not work for ANY IP address outside the UK due to bandwidth limitations. The TV shows are very high quality, for online, so imagine if the whole world wanted to view them!

The Beeb's network (which my company provides and operates) would be FUBAR, costs would skyrocket because of the bandwidth used and it would probably have a knock on effect for the rest of our network and the UK's as a whole.

I do not believe they will be changing this access policy anytime soon.

As for the show, I would watch it myself, but I forgot to bring my earphones to work with me, so I'll watch it tomorrow

Can someone at least tell me the title of the show? I'll try and find a download / torrent site to get it from

QBSneak000,

Heres the info:

(BBC 2) Horizon: Are we alone in the Universe.

What was written on the Iplayer:

Science series. The search for alien life is 50 years old, but theres been a break through. A planet that could support life. (Available for 6 more days)

I hope thats the Iplayer and not the planet....

Hope this helps.

Regards,

JQ.

Thanks John Q! I'm going to see if I can find it now. Hopefully it won't be gone by the time I figure out how to play it.

Another misleading title to a thread. Maybe you should change to title, as all they are saying, from what I can tell, is that they may have found a planet that may be able to support life. That's a whole lot of maybes don't you think?
