Oh MY Gosh. This is not news at all. That is written from an opinion not fact. The person who said this does not believe in God, Jesus, Satan,
or The Bible as a Whole. So they make a statement and it’s news, please. How is this news.
I will say again. Something that was written over, I said over 2000 years ago is unfolding and happening right before your eyes. Believe it or not
the time to sell and buy without some kind of mark on you is coming closer than you think. Look at how close it is already. They are already
putting it in your credit cards and drivers licenses. Give it time. The right disaster comes upon us and in order to claim your innocents or
your freedoms they are going to have to mark you. You want to eat. You want to board that airplane. You want to travel to another state or
country then take this mark. If you don’t take the mark than you must be guilty of planning an attack. So you will go to prison and to death.
They already have in place all the technology to track you and follow you every where you go. You say this can’t happen.
Some people is already being chipped. They think its nothing. Sure its nothing until enough people have it already they can control and use you.
How can people not see that this is exactly what was written over 2000 years ago? It spelled it out in black and white. You can’t say it
didn’t say it when it is there. You can’t say it’s a lucky guess. You can’t say that’s not what is happening when it’s set up to be
able to scan you just so you can buy without using money or credit or debit. All you have to do is let yourself be scanned and it comes out of your
bank funds for you. This is what they want. Then if you don’t comply with them they will turn your chip off and you won’t be able to buy
anything. PERIOD.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six
hundred threescore [and] six.
I mean people thinks actually thinks on star Is something good. When it only helps the government out. When the day comes and people is
trying to run or hide to defend for themselves, they will just lock and stop your car for you. Can’t use it to get you a mile down the road. Not
to mention without that mark no gas for that on star car.
They are already making a seeds of our fruits and vegetables virgin seeds so that we can’t reuse them over and over to feed ourselves. They are
trying as hard as they can to make everyone dependant upon them. Our deer’s and cows have the mad cow disease. Chickens and turkeys and birds
have the bird flu. Fish have mercury. I mean they are destroying any way necessary that we may have to survive on our own. They have the whole
earth mapped out. They can watch you type on your computer. They can watch you bath. Watch every move you make.
People say’s, “I don’t care if I am not doing nothing wrong, then why do I care.” OMG. It’s not about not doing nothing wrong. It’s
about the Word of God which was written over 2000 years ago unfold right before your eyes.

Please try to stay on topic.
This thread has nothing to do with the parting of the Red Sea, or who authored/edited what parts of the Bible, or even the existence/non-existence of
God.
Anyways.
I haven't read Benny Shannon's most significant contribution to the field of ethnopharmacology, 'Antipodes of the Mind', but I am somewhat aware
of it.
It appears that Shannon first encountered ayahuasca (which is strictly a regionally-defined combination of two substances, one containing DMT,
the other harmala) in 1991. You can find an article he published in the Bulletin of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies
here, entitled A Cognitive-Psychological Study of Ayahuasca. The article isn't
directly related to this recent news piece, but it's at least some background on the guy.
What Shannon seems to be proposing with the theory discussed in the OP's news piece is that the ancient Jews were aware of the psychotropic
properties of the acacia plant, which grows rather abundantly in the area.
(This theory is different from that of John Allegro's, who proposed the rather toxic [yet rather safe if administered properly] mushroom amanita
muscaria as the main driving force behind the Abrahamic religions. This theory is generally seen as lacking in foundation, as amanita is not known to
grow in any sense of abundance in the region [at least not anymore])
Acacia contains DMT, 5MeO-DMT, and NMT, powerful neurotransmitters (at least two of which are endogenous, that is, produced within the brain) which
are reputed to be capable of manifesting (or seemingly manifesting, depending on your point of view) other dimensions of space-time, the creatures
that inhabit these regions, and all sorts of other bizarre aspects to these "regions", such as visual language and various synesthetic sensations.
Glossolalia, otherwise known as speaking in tounges, is a relatively common effect of this neurotransmitter as well.
Acacia holds a special role within a few religions, going at least as far back as ancient Egypt. It holds the distinction of being the main building
material for the tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenent, and may have been cited in the Quran as a reward for initiates into heaven (there is some
debate as to whether this reward is the acacia tree or, surprisingly, bananas).
Acacia is also tied into the legend of Osiris and Isis, being the tree in which Osiris's remains were encased.
I think it's important to note that acacia is not ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is just a Quechua word for a mixture containing two specific plants
that are native to the Amazon - banisteriopsis caapi and psychotria viridis. Caapi contains harmala, and psychotria contains DMT. When taken orally
(absorbed through the stomach), DMT can only have an effect if combined with harmala (feel free to be impressed by the statistical improbability of
discovering this - I certainly am).
The Old World equivalent of caapi would most likely be Syrian Rue (peganum harmala), which is pretty much identical chemically speaking. Syrian Rue
has its own history of use among the peoples of the region, so there's no real foundation problem there.
Of course, you could forego the need for syrian rue by consuming the acacia in other ways, but it's much neater to think that two completely seperate
cultures independently discovered a nearly identical combination of chemicals to achieve ecstasy.
Anyways, I may be approaching T&S issues here, so I'll wrap this up and hope cooler heads prevail.
All in all, I think that Shannon has a pretty solid theory here, one which definitely merits some more research; any such research would be immensely
difficult, of course, for many, many reasons.
Which is quite unfortunate, because to me, this is important stuff.

So far we have came to the conclusion that there was dope around in 500bc
I believe there should be an *asterisk* by the names of all the writers of the bible that may or may not have been under the influence of a literary
enhancing substance.

While Shannon may have discovered that a variant hallucinogen was present and used in the Middle East similarly to the Amazon, she has discovered
nothing, nil, zilch, that says that Biblical Scholars were under the influence of that substance whatsoever.
Not a peep! Not a single sentence. Nothing. No proof whatsoever. No evidence whatsoever. So folks, we have a naturally occuring hallucinogen in the
Middle East, just like we have naturally occuring hallucinogens everywhere on Earth just about. From cactus to mushroom to acacia, we have lots
of plants that do this all over the place.
I'm just saying, until there is some evidence for this, it's just wishful thinking. Had Shannon tried to make the argument that Biblical Scholars
were under the influence of Cannabis, well, then she'd be onto something. At least then she would have some evidence from the texts themselves, like
the mistranslation of the word Cannabis into the word for Sweet Cane in every portion of the Bible describing the ingredients for the holy annointing
oil.

I know that the word hashish, means assasin, and that's because assasins would indulge before going out on a "job"
Could it be that "Cannabis" could derive from the land of CANNA , (pronounced KAY NAH)
I've never read that reference to "sweet cane" in the bible before,
..nor have I heard it listed as an ingrediant in holy annointing oil
I always thought cannabis got it's name from it's GENUS type?
..just wandering

KINEBOISIN, according to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, is the old name for cannabis - it was also spelt kannabosm. They claim it was
mis-translated in the King James' version of the bible, as "calamus"

A number of Bible Books authors tell the reader that they were;
carried away in spirit - or - caught up in a vision, etc
now any of their contemporaries, clerics & priests, kept a high scrutiny
on any person who claimed they were prophets or else received
inspiration or instruction from the tribal G0d...
If the author was even thought to be performing from a drug induced
state...none of his words would carry any weight -> and would summarily
be trashed as Not being Divinely inspired...but evil incarnate
I'm not saying the supernatural was actually at work, what i'm saying is that whatever was at work in authoring writings that were compiled into a
Bible...was not explainable to the religious leaders of their time.
but it was sure clear that dope, drugs, and the like were the forte' of the pagan shamans and not the priestly class of early Hebrews or the later
Jews & Christian church leaders

One that is very controversial, meaning many have tried to explain it away, is Daniel's interpretation of a dream of Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. This
can be read in Daniel 2. Many have seen this to be predictive of the
fall of Babylon and the rise of Persia. Then it goes on to foretell the Greek empire, as well as its realm of control. Finally it goes on to foretell
the rise of the Roman empire, as well as how it rose, and how it fell.
The evidence of this not being doctored after the fall of the Roman empire is most easily ascertained through the Septuagint, which has been dated
between the 3rd and 1st centuries B.C. Because Greek was the universal language in the Mediterranean world, some Jewish scholars translated the Hebrew
texts into Greek so Jews who could not read Hebrew would still be able to study the scriptures. There are many historical references to this by
others, including Philo and Josephus. This indicates that even if you could dismiss some of that prophecy as being doctored to fit history, there is
still more, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire namely, that cannot be explained.

This is of course more of a personal belief but, what if God speaks to us threw altered neurochemistry? What if gods channel is currently blocked off
to us, and we can only hear it/him/her through altered preceptions?
If this were fact, would it change anything for any of you?
Edit to add: This has been a good thread thats managed to stay on topic BTW

No it wouldn't change a thing. We already use altered states of awareness to communicate with God. It's called 'prayer' and 'meditation' etc.
Were 'drugs' an ingredient in the heightened states of consciousness revealed in the Bible? Who knows! It certainly should not offend or upset
anybody to consider it... but because we have been conditioned by Luciferian government to fear all methods of consciousness exploration (including
drugs) : of COURSE they are going to be outraged like any other conservative.
Still, I am more inclined to believe that altered states of awareness were achieved through meditation and prayer. The exact methods of such
meditation and prayer were taught by Jesus and his apostles and was then REMOVED from the scripture and hidden by the Vatican.
Altered, or heightened states of consciousness, are something that people have been taught by Luciferian society to fear... when it is probably the
single most important thing for our evolution, don't you agree?

I never replied to your last question last night; sorry!
Regarding, would I die for Christ... I hope so. Like so many veterans of battles say, you don't know what you'll actually do until the bullets start
flying, and I've never been in a situation where my life was on the line because of my devotion to Christ. I'd like to think I'd not deny Him even
on pain of torture or death, but I cannot be sure at all.
If, on the other hand, Christ were a drug that brought me closer to God, I would be fine with denying it publicly while still practicing it in
private. I wouldn't die for a method of worship, I don't think.
As to altered states, your contention would rely on a belief that anyone who does not take psychoactive drugs cannot connect with nor hear from God. I
will say flat out, I have heard and I do connect, and I've never taken a psychoactive drug. So, if psychoactive drugs are the only way to connect, it
would mean I'm either a liar, a lunatic, or that contention would be false.
On a far less personal account, if the God of the universe created us and chose how to communicate with us, why would He make it so difficult and why
would He restrict Himself? We call out to Him, but we can't hear Him and He can't talk to us because He decided the only way we could hear from Him
was if we were tripping on something.

Both you and Junglejake addressed similar points in your posts, but I will address them seperately for clarities sake.

I happen to agree with you. Both prayer and meditation alter neurochemistry. I never specified whether the alteration would be from an exogenous or
endogenous source.
Were 'drugs' an ingredient in the heightened states of consciousness revealed in the Bible? Who knows!
This is where my speculation was going. Even if the bible scholars weren't tripping, what if they had increased levels of certain tryptamines and/or
phenethylamines which allowed them to tap into God channel (im using that term for lack of a better one)
Still, I am more inclined to believe that altered states of awareness were achieved through meditation and prayer.
Im actually more inclined to believe it was a combination of both.
The exact methods of such meditation and prayer were taught by Jesus and his apostles and was then REMOVED from the scripture and hidden by the
Vatican.
Interesting theory, and would certainly make some sense.

No problem, i fgured you'd get around to it sooner or later.
Regarding, would I die for Christ... I hope so. Like so many veterans of battles say, you don't know what you'll actually do until the bullets start
flying,
Interesting and acurate quote.
but I cannot be sure at all.
Nor could I. But my point was, If a culture believed that a mushroom, a vine, a tree, a plant (etc) represented a gift from god; furthermore, a
direct connection to god, is it not believable that they would protect it with their lives? (much the same way as you would protect Jesus with
yours?)
If, on the other hand, Christ were a drug that brought me closer to God, I would be fine with denying it publicly while still practicing it in
private.
And how would you hide your practice? Perhaps by using metaphore and analogy?
I wouldn't die for a method of worship, I don't think.
Its not really a method of worship, so much as it is a direct link to spiritualism. (IMO)
As to altered states, your contention would rely on a belief that anyone who does not take psychoactive drugs cannot connect with nor hear from
God.
Again, it was not my intent to inferr this; that you need to take drugs to feel/talk to god. In fact, what I was trying to suggest is that, altered
neurochemistry (by altered I simply mean elevated levels of certain chemicals) may provide a gateway or connection to gods channel. Further, outside
sources of these chemicals are not necessary as some of them already exist in our bodies in small amounts.
Perhaps god is the one who alters your brain chemistry in order for your to hear him/her/it? I dont know, im just throwing the idea's out there.
it would mean I'm either a liar, a lunatic, or that contention would be false.
I would never suggest such a thing. I have no grounds to validate or invalidate your personal experiances with the realms beyound our own.
On a far less personal account, if the God of the universe created us and chose how to communicate with us, why would He make it so difficult and why
would He restrict Himself?
The human psyche and ego are fragile things, perhaps god saw the increase in tryptamines and phenethylamines as a way of communicating with us, while
leaving our fragile parts undamaged or behind (albeit, for a short period of time)
We call out to Him, but we can't hear Him and He can't talk to us because He decided the only way we could hear from Him was if we were tripping on
something.
Well, as this specifically applies to the use of a substance in order to hear god and such a thing was not ment to be inferred by my post, ill leave
it unanswered for now.

Often religious wars get started this way. Scientology believes and tells their members that Jesus was a homosexual pedophile- and now we have
Israelis saying Moses was high. Personally I don't really care anymore what people say about religion but I do respect people's right to believe in
the faith of their choice no matter how stupid and nonsensical it may be. That withstanding, any religion which must jab another isn't very confident
in their own beliefs and must discredit one to credit theirs. Its all become so stupid and superstitious. I can't follow any of them anymore!

You are drugs. You already have DMT in your Pineal Gland. You already have what LSD helps release in you also.

Any one of sufficient education in Anthropological and Sociological sciences including historic and cultural literature knows sacred plants have been
used since history was written, and evidenced before. No big thing really.
What has really messed up folks is the disinformation from the people of evil needs and addictions to power wanting control, that knew you could get
by their forced-down-the-throat religious autocracies with these sacramental substances. So they modified and interpreted scripture to control and
eventually turn off spirituality in religion banning not only the sacraments God gave us for free choice, but also the very states of awareness that
would see through their evil veil of lies and corrupt manipulation.
These molecules (sacred plants and substances) do nothing but push your buttons that are already part of your body and manually help you to change to
HD consciousness instead of AM forms of awareness we are forced to maintain with threats of imprisonment, religious excommunication, scorn and other
un-spiritual practices better used for evil.
Studies found we do not NEED these plants, but in certain situations like to introduce you to how much more spiritual and full of awareness we have
access to. Then, you know it is there, and know you come back and get there WITHOUT the training wheels.
If I told you that you where in even less than a primitive cartoon world, and you said prove it, so I take out your old hanger antenna and plug you in
to an HD cable signal, and you see that, enjoy that for 6 hours, with billions of stations and subjects, would you come back to your cartoon? Likely
the shock would scare your little cartoon plans and value systems, but if you are of sufficient intelligence it would be plain that remaining stupid
and clueless in a monochromatic existence would be madness.
How hard would you hold on to ignorance after you knew how 2 dimensional your life was and how much love, understanding and connection to what you
call GOD you where missing?
Like I said, you don't need the drugs, but any arguments against them might indicate you need to experience something more if your view is still AM
mono radio, no picture.
Try HD 1080i video in 3D with Surround Sound and you will toss out that little transistor radio you where lied to about being the ONLY format for
awareness.

Yep,
Anyone who assumes the possibility of Moses Hallucinating somehow undermines what he had to say is obviously not aware of the vast amount of
advances that come through altered states of awareness.
And to ZeroG's point, these altered states of awareness can come from diet, drugs, meditation, or just a constant beginning from a place of
unconditionality. Even Paul spoke about this.
To anyonone who believes that the drug use would somehow undermine the spiritual advancement which came from Moses, keep in Mind
that The guy who discovered the Double Helix was on LSD at the time he did so.
