Nope, but you responded to my post about the wedge document. You can believe that ID creationism is science if you like. It isn't, though. It's a theologically motivated socio-political movement. A science-free zone.

Ok, here you go...ET's claim that modern man on this world is just a laboratory creation and all before it were just parts of the experiment. Now I guess that would fit with creationism and evolution.

One point about science is that the world as we know it is much older than some religions would have us believe. And some Et's would have us understand that the globe that we live on has flipped or been flipped a few times virtually wiping out all life. So if that is true, then based on all biblical accounts on this world, when they talk about the creation of this world, just what time period might they really be relating too?

And if that previous statement has any truth to it, then the idea of creationsim could indeed take some more weight, but then we would have to ask is, who played god.

I think that evolution has a say in a many things, but it might not move all that fast. There is much that is unexplained when it comes to modern man and many gaps in the evolutionary line. But if carbon dating is for real, then there is a lot of explaining yet to be done by those who hang their hat on creationism as well.

I vote that both ideas are right and both have a scientific answer behind each of them. It has been said by some that ET has shared that genetics to them is almost like what money means to this world. If that is truth, then it opens up a whole new perspective of what is life...the physical shell of modern man or is really the soul.

I vote for the soul, cause in my mind when any book relating to the creator or GOD states that we are made in the image of...well that which is the energy of the soul would make a whole lot more sense, than a physical god any old day.

Just some rambling thoughts.

Meh. Nothing but personal attacks. Therefore, nothing else to really respond to in your comment. And sorry, but 'I'm so offended' comments from the peanut gallery typically don't faze me (you know, due to my 'big ego' you accuse me of having). This thread spiraled down into attacks against my character and intelligence. My apologies for once again overestimating the crowd and believing we could have an intelligent conversation about a very controversial topic while maintaining mutual respect. I'm still all for having an intelligent conversation regarding the original topic but I'm not going to have a pissing contest with anyone on a personal level.

Hey, Riley. Honest question. Why do you believe criticizing evolution is the same as criticizing atheism? Theists believe in evolution as well. No one set of beliefs has the market cornered.

DO NOT not accuse me of things I have not done.

.. especially when they are so irrelevent. Freedom of and from are the same thing. If someone has freedom of religion they also have the right not to have any religion.

Too bad he is unwilling to back that up.

Not because he's an atheist and atheists hold to science like it is theirs EXCULSIVELY and tries to defend it as such without saying "mine mine mine mine".
No he has no agenda though he doesn't bother to deny it.

As I have said time and time again atheism and evolution are not the same thing.. you are not telling me anything new. Calling theists who accept ToE gullable is just as unacceptable.

See it's that type of attitude that has gotten people angry in the first place. That's what you are ignoring. There are people that would be willing to discuss this is a calm, cool, manner, but it your personality and methodology that is turning people off and irritating them. Since the point seems to be to aggravate as many people as possible, I'm not feeding in to it any more. Have fun with this. I'll have nothing to do with this thread any longer.

Riley, listen. We're going to get this thread closed down if we don't stop it. I'm going to try to put this as gently as I can. You also seemed to have come a little undone on Sizzle's thread as well. Take the emotion out of your arguments. I'm a stoic and do not know how to deal with emotional people. There are many threads on ATS that ask if Christians are gullible or if Christians have been deceived. No use in crying about it or getting our egos bruised. No need to get emotional or take anything personally.

I know being an atheist apologist you may be more sensitive than most and it is not my right to judge you. But seriously. I don't want to put you through whatever you went through on Sizzle's thread to get you as upset as you are getting on this one.

That is a lie. This should be already be clear to you as beachcoma made reference to the same comment and also clarified what I meant [even though it was already obvious]. I said "Of" in my first post.. and then in a seperate post I said of and from to elaborate further.

..and carrying on about my grammar and nitpicking on whether or not I've used the correct words.. [even though the context I've used them in is really obvious..] not only comes across as immature but it's OFFTOPIC. If you really think my use of lthe english language warrents further discussion feel free to use the alert feature.

That was because she also started a thread slandering an entire group of people.

Before leacturing me on my perceptions.. maybe you should consider not attacking entire groups of people..? Just a thought.

I believe you started this thread purely to offend and bait people.. don't try blaming my 'sensitivities'- thats just a lame attempt to avoid being accountable for your own bad behaviour.
