There’s not much to this file except the description of the sighting. Mr. and Mrs. John D. Markland saw the objects at 10:50 MST on June 8, 1952 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They described the objects as being “flat-round shape and of a very brilliant, whitish silver color”, flying in a diamond formation at approximately 15,000 feet at 300 MPH. They flew with no sound and left no trail behind them.

There is no other information, which seems strange. Apparently, there were no other witnesses and no attempt at an explanation like in other files from this period.

OK so these witnesses were able to ascertain speeds of approximately 300mph and a height of around 15,000 feet but could not estimate what size the craft was? Did the fact that they were good Church going citizens play into the credibility of their story? Is it a mere coincidence that the average height on the reporting forms at that time suggested these same heights and speeds for the 200-2 reporting forms? This report may not be as dull as one would think.
