File wont open for me, but the first thing we were taught in management school here was that while most ppl assume management hierarchy is shaped just like a pyramid, the best organisations inverted the triangle so that management was supporting frontline workers rather than ruling over them.

It was a simple yet profound exercise: he asked everyone in the lecture theatre to use there hands to illustrate corporate structure, and 99% ppl held up a triangle, he said, "You are all dead wrong, turn it upside down". It's blindingly obvious throughout our history that Government, business, religious, military and other "leaders" of society get this most basic precept ass backwards! I guess most egos just want to be the godking sitting on top of his / her pyramid without responsibility for anyone else. Now I've read it, I think this summarises your article pretty well

As soon as anyone seriously refers to themselves as 'the boss' you know immediately this is their mindset.
