I believe in intelligent design as well. There is just too much that has been proven by science, such as the exact size, orbit, distance of the earth from the sun, etc. that is needed to support life, to believe it all happened by chance. There's proof of God all around us in nature. It's hard to prove it beyond that. But if you watch any of the History Channel's Universe series, you can see a master design element in everything. It's not just coincidence. There's a lot we don't yet know, and it's still not proven, but we're getting closer all the time. Ten years ago, we couldn't have said that.

i'm not sure what your point is, but i'll try to answer you.

the feeling of love is separate from the person you feel it for, otherwise love would die with the people we love or it would have to be given to us by that person, neither is true, it just manifests itself.

also love of god is not particularly required for his existence, nor is knowledge of god, nor understanding. it's just a universal truth. have you ever heard of a people or culture that didn't believe the supernatural existed?

Well I guess that's fine, cause I didn't say love was physically attached to anyone.

Yes, I've heard nothing is required for god's existence, what a wonderfully arbitrary concept.

Universal truths are nice to talk about too. I could say frog people are universal truths just for the sake of conversation.

as i said i'm not sure what you were saying, maybe you should explain it

i didn't say nothing was required, i used logical argument to prove gods existence. if you don't want to dispute my argument logically, why reply? if you can't grasp what i'm saying please ignore me and move along, if you can and you can see my logic is faulty, point to the fault.

yes you could, but show me how it is so. i'll attempt to explain what i mean by universal truth as you clearly haven't understood the concept as i used it.
universal truths are things like love, a conscience, hatred, curiosity etc, these are things that are unprovable yet are generally accepted as truth because they are almost universally part of the human experience.

Yes, it's very introspective.

You have to look deep inside yourself and determine whether that love you feel is for a friend or family member or if it's for an imaginary superbeing which somebody told you actually exists somewhere.

This is simple logic. If someone searches within their self and finds god then they have the proof they need. If they decide their feelings are not for god, then they have to rethink the hypothesis.

Originally posted by piemanalso love of god is not particularly required for his existence, nor is knowledge of god, nor understanding. it's just a universal truth.

I thought you were saying love of god is a universal truth, but I guess you meant only love itself is.

Originally posted by piemanif you require proof of god you must also require proof of love and hate, you must be able to quantify it of itself. if you cannot, you must admit that god exists, in at least the same respect as love or hate, and so does exist and is real.

You have stated love is a universal truth, so by that rational are you stating god is also a universal truth? That doesn't work because I could find people who don't accept god as truth which means it's not universal.

Are you asking me? I wouldn't know. Maybe someone else can answer that for you.

LOL! I was replying to your response to my quote. When I speak of God I am not connecting him to religion. That is where the conflict lies. Religion has botched everything up and it is my belief that they will be held accountable for it.

There will be ample opportunity for all in the near future to see that there is an actual God. It will not be left open for debate.

Why would anybody want god to exist anyway?

He was a woman & child killer. How do I know? It says so in the bible.

What if worshipping a make-believe god IS false idol worshipping? What if organized religion is Satan's scam to dup the gullible masses and cause them to worship a lie and go to hell?

It can be either - or! Idol worshipping is not the same as worshiping the real thing. You are talking of icons, the cross, worshiping a religion and its leaders, etc. Another words: real or false representations of the real thing!

I agree with Einstein, I'd rather not take the chance and defy the existence of God. Plus I have had personal evidence.

On the second half of your statement - I agree with you. If you have read my other threads you would see that: www.abovetopsecret.com... (Have Christians Been Duped?)

If one must go to hell for honesty and integrity and truth, then that's where I would want to go anyhow instead of some heaven filled with a bunch of make-believing liars.

Again, you are talking religious dogma. I don't believe in any of the above.

There are 20 more threads around with the same question. Please read and post in those. Nobody will ever be able to answer your question with proof. Both sides can argue about god existing or not. When it gets down to the end of it, there will be no proof on either side. You just have to believe and have faith there is one. You don't have to believe in Jesus Christ, but acknowledge that there is a god. I for one think it is ignorant to not believe in a god. Do you think the universe/stars/planets/galaxies created themselves? No! Something created it.

You can ask the question, how did a soul or being appear in the blackness and start creating things. But somehow it happened.

I guess the fact that there are so many threads out there on the same subject shows how interested or concerned everyone is!

I totally agree with you on the above statement.

I HOPE YOU ALL READ THIS

We exist because God created us, period. We

are one of his many creations and our human

minds cannot even begin to contemplate the

complexities in this universe, just like an

ANT can not contemplate the solar system. We

think we know everything. God sent 3 main

Prophets, May Allah be pleased with them all.

The first message to mankind was the Torah,

second the Gospel (2000 years ago), and

thirdly the Quran (1400 years ago). Prophet

Musa was the one who brought the Torah to the

Jews, Prophet Jesus is one who brought the 2nd

book of God i.e the Gospel (too many types to

name so its whichever was not re-written by a

man). The current Bible is re-written so i am

referring to the Old testament i believe (

correct me if I am wrong). And the final

message because people back them were not

abiding by the rules, i.e drinking and idol

worshiping, i.e not going to prayer because

they were drunk or hung over, widespread

impurity over illegal sexual relations. The

Final message was the Quran. And im not the

most humble person in the world or anything

but i know what makes sense like the next

person. and after reading the Quran and the

Hadith (the lessons of the Last Prophet

Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him). You can clearly

see everything that was revealed. There are

things in the Quran that did not make sense

200 years ago, but God said that there are

proofs in there that each coming generation

will/ can relate too. I.e space travel, and

flights around the world, widespread murder

(where the person who murders is as puzzled as

the one he murders- neither knows why it

happened). I respect every religion in the

world and im not bragging in any sence Im just

an ex partier who has been searching and now I

have found it. There is no way someone like a

simple desert man could have known all the

complexites of the universe. No one understood

back them, but discoveries like the

understanding of the Iron core in the centre

of the earth, were not understood until now.

I.e. each generation is still learning things

from the Quran. I saw a Discovery Channel

explaining the same things I read in the

Quran. I.e God SENT DOWN iron from space and

plunged it into the earth, and built above

them 7 protectors. And if you count there are

7 levels of atmosphere, as well as 7 layers of

Earth (i.e Core, crust, inner core, mantel,

etc. However there are those of you that have

a seal over your heart and will not believe no

matter what. Im a person that will not believe

unless i can understand and investigate for

myself. I suggest you do the same, the last

days are near, it does not matter what

religion you are as long as you realize the

last days are near, and as we travel down this

spiral whirlwind of sinning and ignorance then

we are dooming ourselves. God created all

human beings from Adam and Eve and we shall

die and be resembled again down to our very

fingertips, (i.e fingerprints). And we will be

judged, and remember paradise lies between the

feet of your mother. The same rules apply.

The coming of the Last Prophet to humanity was

foretold in the Torah:
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among

their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put

My words in his mouth; and he shall speak to

them all that I shall command him" Deuteronomy

18:18

Who in the Old Testament were the brethren of

the sons of Israel if not the sons of Ismael?

(descended from Abraham's first wife Hagar at

the well of Zam Zam at Makkah called Bakkah in

those days) Who else could have been the

Prophet like unto Moses? Who was more similar

to him than the Prophet Muhammad?

The prophecy in Bible has been fulfilled by

the advent of Prophet Muhammad. Jesus says in

the Bible, John 16:7 and 16:13:
"If I go not away, the Comforter will not come

unto you, but if I depart I will send him unto

you ...We will guide yo
