Can I deny that some head of some label might have some sort of nefarious association with somebody who is actually bad...no I can't. But hip hop artists, regardless of their status at the label are absolutely, positively 100% NOT involved in what you are attributing to them. Even Jay-Z who is more businessman now than performer is not doing what you say.

Is this an example of fooling yourself into beLIEving something is fact if you say it?

Because quite honestly, I find it very hard to believe anything you have to say.
Maybe it is because you are a hip hop industry veteran of 10 years, an economics/finance professor in Chicago, and also a Doctor!

Wow, you sure are busy! How do you even find time to post on ATS, especially on a topic that you find so ridiculous?

Right now, insurance companies have SOME pull in the decision making process, but it's easy to get around considering they have no authority, they can't MAKE me do something. I don't want the government making patient care decisions for me.
The best way to think of it is like a canadian physician colleague of mine said, if you need an MRI but it's not urgent, there's nothing wrong with Canada. If you need an MRI today, then you need to be in the US.
Also, something to think about with these statistics of the "best" medical systems in the world, that is all self-report data, there's no way I trust all these world governments to give accurate figures...no chance.

Remember, Masons work through words, numbers, and symbols. They didn't just create Hip-Hop, they created "Rock" and Roll. Why would anyone but a Mason choose this name? So you have Masonic "Rolling Rock" beer. You have the Tavistock "Rolling Stones" and the Beatles called "the British invasion." The band "Queen" sings "We will ROCK you" and Bohemian (Grove) Rhapsody. Paul Simon says, "I am a Rock."

Masonry is a fraternal organization with secrets fathers pass onto sons, hence “a chip of the old block.” The old block is the father Master Mason and the chip is the son apprentice-level.

“Between a rock and a hard place” is a Masonic phrase said in “The Rock” with 33 degree Mason Sean Connery who plays a character named Mason. Nicholas Cage plays alongside him in this movie and later Cage starred in National Treasure also about Masonry. His father in the movie was Jon Voigt. In real life, Jon Voigt is the father of Angelina Jolie who in real life is in the CFR and the UN – two Masonic/Illuminati creations. In the movie Tomb Raider 2, however, Jolie plays a role in which she defeats the Illuminati featuring a scene at the capstone of a pyramid.

This is why these movies are "Blockbusters." What's a blockbuster? A Mason. What do the Mason's do? They make the "hits." Hit is what a hammer does to a rock, but it's also their terrible, unoriginal music that they call "Hits, Hot Hits, Top Hits." When they kill someone like JFK, it's called a "hit." They just made the movie "Hitman."

Chris "Rock," the wrestler, "The Rock" and "Stone" Cold Steve Austin. The Rock-fellows, the Rockafellers, Rocawear. Blockbuster Video, Rolling Stone Magazine, 3rd Rock from the Sun, 30 Rock, Sharon Stone, Romancing the Stone, the Family Stone, Masonic NASA Rock-ets, the Rockettes, on the rocks, get your rocks off, you rock, Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock, think of the lyrics to Rock a bye baby, and you've "hit rock" bottom.

Come on back again Masonic detractors to this thread. Tell everyone how crazy I am and how this is all coincidence. No sir, the Masons aren't in the music/movie industry, nooooo. Folks, the first Hollywood director was a Mason. Need I say more?

I have looked over the rihanna video and pionted out by my friend i noticed this

3 times during the video rihanna is showned in very 'apealing' postions in a pryamid like so...

The 3rd one i think is most disturbing, as she is posed like what i think ,jesus on the cross

Anybody else ntoice this?
And anything thing i noticed it, she is not standing in just a triangle cut out, you can slearly see where goes deeper in the backround to make it look like a pyramid ?

ANOTHER THING! lol, people say that whatever nwo or whatever try to make there symbols as clear as possible yet hidden, if a normal person was watching the vid, what do you think there gona look at, a naked hot pop star or a pyramid in the backround?

[edit on 28-2-2008 by Disgustipated]

EXACTLY!! I was just about to post the same thing..It's not a triangle,if you look closely at the inside you can tell it's a pyramid.

also I thought the same thing about the third picture too. These images go by so fast it's hard to see anything which is kinda strange to itslef.

Sure its a pyramid. so what, you act like you cant have a certain shape in a video and not have it mean somthing. Thats called art. When she has her arms up and is kneeling , thats called a dance move. I dont remember Jesus dying on his knees in a pyramid. ...

So your saying everyone who produced this song, sang the song, directed the video are all in on this bullsh!t?

I have seen you guys reach , but god damn. you guy are reaching way to far.

Pretty much this whole statement here is derogatory and bigoted. If not, why would you be surprised? Maybe I misread what you were trying to say.

It's derogatory yes! I have a personal aversion to anything that promotes materialism. Granted I have been reminded in the past that there are a few politically-tinged rappers and even some promoting animal rights (a cause close to my heart) but the big MTV hip-hop artists seem to me fairly shallow. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the colour of their skin. I'm a heavy metal fan... a genre that sadly has a minority of black musicians. Should I cry bigotry if a black guy announces he dislikes Iron Maiden and thinks their theatrics are trivial?

I'm sorry if what I said could be construed as racism. I really do oppose racism. My issue is with the materialism, drugs and language offensive to women. I don't particularly appreciate the music but that's niether here nor there. It has zero to do with the colour of Jay-Z's skin.

Anyway... perhaps it would be good if I contributed something a little more relevant to the thread instead of just 'I don't like most hip-hop'.

I tend to concur with one of the previous posters who said that these artists probably just like the imagery surrounding everything from freemasonry to the NWO. I suppose it's a possibility they could be involved but I'd tend to think it's more likely that they see it all as a great theme for their stage persona. Maybe it's even their way of mocking it or saying that they can have their own secret organisations and they can use masonic symbolism without feeling frightened or intimidated.

I have given this thread the benefit of proving something that would substantiate it's claims, however all I am left with is I am laughing out loud, literally, at each attempt to vilify the idea of the video somehow being tired to a New World Order or Masons, or anything else for that matter, it isn't even good music, so they tried to be as artistic as possible to make up for it, Rhianna doesn't have anything going for her but Jay Z likes her and she is Hot looking. I have a pyramid in my bedroom, as a matter of fact, it is a matching pair, bought them in a thrift store. Did my attraction to them mean anything? NO> it means I like the mystery of the pyramid, and they were cheap do dads for my room.

From what I have read in this thread, both pro and con, there is some debate as to whether Mason's help put their 'symbolism' in both the lyrics and imagery in the video's for these songs. While I can certainly respect all sides in this debate, I tend to think that there is at least some truth in masonic symbolism showing up in rap and hip hop songs and video's much as there is in all other types of music. It doesn't have to be in every song. But it is there for those who pay attention to such things.

heh, doing some more research has actually turned up some interesting reads, although I still only take this half-serious.

www.davidicke.com...

wha stood out like lightening was this caloboration: www.mtv.co.uk...

The video isn't on youtube yet, but basicaly it was the Klaxons on instruments (as the previous poster said, very much into occult/illuminati chic) teamed up with Rihanna who was singing her hit Umbrella, the video of which has her in a pyramid (and the lyrics are curious). The light show for the Brit performance was pyramidal, utterly.

www.yelp.com...

"Music Artist, Rihanna- 4th degree pagan?"

I read somewhere in pagan books that some initiated pagan women wear belts on their thighs that symbolize (also to fellow pagans) what degree initiate they are.

Since Rihanna was clearly showing off the belts on her legs during her aired concert recently, are these the same leg belts I've read of but never seen in pagan culture?

my thoughts:

For the most part, I think that instead of masons using symbols in this and other videos... it's probably a case of the opposite - masonic imagery and symbolism has been so interwoven with western culture at this point, that it's prevalent in design because it's embedded into the subconscious. Also, I would tend to believe that if any masonic references were intended, they were probably used in a profane manner. For instance, there are some artists that claim masonry, but there are also artists that claim to be into the kabbalah. There are also lots of rappers that claim to be muslim / etc.

A majority of them are hypocrites. plenty will claim all types of spiritual advancement, and in the same verse brag about material possessions.

They exploit mysticism and the occult to just create more buzz and to make their art seem to have more depth, but it's very very superficial.

well put! The music industry is tough and gimmicks are widely used to try and give your 'art' the upper hand over someone else's equally good music. A large part of the Satanic and shock imagery in heavy metal, for example, is empty imagery, exploited to sell records. I see no reason why masonic imagery should be immune to this.

"As a doctor in the US I can tell you that the last thing I would want is a system similar to Sweden or Canada."

Whilst you may not have explicitly stated you were a medical doctor, you have left the very clear implication here that your being doctor somehow gave you higher knowledge into the medicine and the medical systems, in an attempt to brow beat your opponents.

To illustrate

"As a doctor of economics in a university in the US I can tell you that the last thing I would want is a [medical] system similar to Sweden or Canada"

See how much less authoritative you sound. At the very best your were being dishonest and misleading, at the worst, I'd have to say you were claiming to be a medical doctor. It certainly seems that way.

Also, your smugness is really annoying. Sorry, I know that's a little rude, but it is.

Excuse me, but you seem to be as young as your avatar looks, or you are a VERY good disinfo agent, or of course, its just your opinion, which is most probable ;-)

The thing is: A number of record companies are giving the message that there is nothing to do about the NWO, just sit down & shut up... _ Look at Naz, etc... And it doesnt have to be tied in with Masons, but it is still secret society-ish. - And the secret societies use the masonry as a cover, for the brotherhood, & to make a seemingly viable 'religion' where ordinary people can be brought into the pyramid scheme, to put it simply.

People who made it dont have to be 'in on it'
But think of this way
They went to collage, art collage or whatever, they learned how to use what shapes in a certain way,how to use people in a certain way , how to use situations in a certain way
So all 'they' need to do is teach up and coming directors and such that using pryamids and things of the like is a good thing to do in your video and just make the lesson plan they use to show them to mostly use masonic things that the student may not even know he/she is using

If the Police started marching around in millitary gear & the millitary started prancing around in police uniforms, & they all had the eye of providence (a pyramid) on their arms, would you still say, it'sd just a pyramid? A pyramid is yes, just a pyramid, until you findout what the pyramids were REALLY all about, if you look at the evidence (look up David Icke) - But no, you wouldn't do that, because despite the fact that the REAL craziness is that most people wont even look into the FACTS, you probably wont either, until your friends, & most people do...

If you look at the history of 'civilization' you can see that we CAN change; Just look at the styles frrom the eighties (clothes & world-views) - When the styles change, people follow the herd.... - But it's kinda hard to break the habit of attaching the word 'theory' to conspiracy when we have the illuuminati controlling the media, & hense controlling the way you think. - you are conditioned to laugh at this. - a smoking gun in itself.

So is it a coincidence that the 'live' BRIT video has her performing the song Umbrella in collaboration with the band the Klaxons? I had never heard of them, and was happily surprised (actually more a feeling of even more enslavement and doom
) to read this on their wikipedia page describing their 'musical style':

Klaxons' music is often supernatural and magic-realist in theme, as shown in a number of song titles and lyrical content. Examples of this are "As Above, So Below" (favourite saying of Aleister Crowley), "Atlantis to Interzone" (a William Burroughs reference), "Magick" (Crowley) and "Four Horsemen of 2012"/"Gravity's Rainbow" (Thomas Pynchon references). The lyrics to "Forgotten Works" are based on Richard Brautigan's In Watermelon Sugar.

Creepy! I wish I could give more stars to the OP for kickstarting this particular thread, because to me, it is one microcosm of the bigger picture.

I found a freemason website during the course of this research that provide some very interesting examples. These two 'creep' me out in the same way that the Jay-Z stuff does, but the Jay-Z stuff is worse for me because of how much cash flew out of my pocket into his and his masters'. Big Pimpin, spending cheese....
These ones were two of my favorite songs growing up.

Falco Rock Me Amadeus Techno 1985
Mozart’s masonic initiation is noted in a biographical voice-over.

House of Pain Jump Around Rap 1992
"Do you know / about the Masons / about their nation?" "To the 33rd degree, you know that’s me."

freemasonry.bcy.ca...

However, I am not saying Masons are bad or evil, or anything like that with my statement. I mean it creeps me out because I never knew what Freemasonry was until somewhat recently. In this case, its the secret in plain sight. That website also has a link on that page that tries to discredit some of the Mason/Hip Hop hullabulub. Personally, it doesn't do a very good job.

I still don't know what to make of all this except that I will only buy music directly from the artists from now on. Screw the RIAA strong armed Pyramid Scheme Music Industry that pays little to the artists in the greater scheme of things. Perhaps some of the supposed 'industry types' who haven't contributed anything besides tacit denials of belief in the remotest possibility that something is going on here, perhaps they can explain why the standard record deal has the artist getting about $30,000-$40,000 on a million records sold? I say, if you want to support the artist, and not the industry, go to your favorite bands shows and buy their tshirts and other merchandise. Thats where artists make their real money. The albums are tools.
