I am living in south-west so didn't feel a thing.

BUT there is something that is bothering me. i read BBC article, went onto
usgs.gov
but they have no information about it.
in this topic there was someone who posted links from usgs but links dont work

British Geological Survey and other websites, have info about the earthquake.

could it be that they simply chose which ones to show and which not ? well speculation..

eh? A 5.3 today in yorkshire? Where did you hear that? I'm pretty sure I would have felt something like that or that it would have been reported.

Wires have gotten crossed me thinks.

I agree ... I live in North Yorkshire and haven't felt/heard a thing ... must be talking about a 5.3 somewhere else ... certainly seems to be a fair bit of activity around the planet at the moment.

Edit to add;

Ah, just saw the wire-crossing explanation ... godbless the 'blonde moments' ... I get em all the time and I'm not even blonde !
