The work ethic he's talking about isn't being a hardworking, honest worker. It's about being desperate for money and willing to do ANY job for ANY wage.

In other words, "Sell yourselves out, sell your children out, forget workplace safety, and don't even SPEAK of benefits, and you might land a job!"

Maybe the people of he state of Missouri should march in Washington take House Speaker Rod Jetton to the border with Mexico and tell him that he is not longer welcome in the US that Mexico will be a better home for him.

um...honestly, as a lifelong missourian, i'm going to have to agree with him. so many people in that state are expecting a good job without having to work their way up to it.
true, these illegal immigrants learned their work ethic through desperation, but it's something that they'll hold onto beyond that, as they see exactly how hard work pays off.

the "great american work ethic" has clearly become a myth in the modern day

I also tend to agree with him. It's worse over in Kansas, though. Better welfare benefits.

People would rather live vicariously through television. The jobs are there. There's work to be done and the cash labor pool is only growing now that Oklahoma has tightened up.
