Bodies of Adult, 2 Children Found at Oklahoma Air Force Base

www.foxnews.com

OKLAHOMA CITY — Military and civilian law enforcement officers have found the bodies of an adult and two children after responding to a domestic disturbance at family housing on Tinker Air Force Base.

Tinker officials say the bodies were found about 4:30 p.m. Monday, about two hours after officers received a call of a potential hostage situation.

A male member of the military and ex-spouse had an altercation, officials said.

She heard two gunshots when she left, officials said at a news conference.

Officials said the names of the victims were withheld pending notification next of kin.

News video showed officers congregating in a residential area of the base, located in southeast Oklahoma City.

Officials said the Oklahoma County sheriff\'s office is helping investigate the incident.

I just heard about this on an Air Force spouse forum.

Then Fox News just broke it. But I couldnt find any other sources. Im waiting to see if I can find more info from people I know stationed there.

I live in base housing, and even I tend to have a false sense of security. Goes to show even the most horrendous things can happen in a secure environment.

That's horrible. I was stationed at Tinker. I know OK can drive you crazy, but at least when I was there, we didn't have anyone shoot his family.

Blessings to the families of this terrible tragedy. I understand your comments about the false sense of security even on an AF Base. You are not alone. Just more aware than some or most. It is possible if you lived anywhere you would be feeling the same. Location has nothing to do with it. Be sure and keep us informed of the story as it unfolds. Keep your heart in the light and you will be alright.

Just to get it out there...

This would have never happened if they had had the right to bear arms... Oh wait!

Ahem. That out of the way, my condolences go out to the family. How awful!

Dear God almighty, my prayers for the two young children.

I can't believe how many people are 'snapping' these days, and suddenly
lashing out at others!?!

I can't find a satisfactory definition for the word "security", my self...
There is NO SUCH THING! Even having loaded guns, is no guarantee...

Good topic to post, we should all be made aware of these incidents.
I know what it feels like to be a family member to a victim of murder,
it's HORRIBLE...

HORRIBLE!
