HPV Vaccine: It's Not Just for Girls Anymore

www.blacklistednews.com
How cool are those Gardasil Girls? Riding horses, flinging softballs, bashing away on drum sets: on the television commercials, they are pugnacious and utterly winning. They want to be “One Less,” they chant — one less victim of cervical cancer. Get vaccinated with Gardasil, they urge their sisters. Protect yourselves against the human papillomavirus, or H.P.V., which causes cervical cancer.
Funny how the NY Times doesn't mention anything about the deaths related to Gardasil.

One wonders if McCain intends to pick Rick Perry as his running-mate -- a payback to Perry for all of his hard work selling Texas roads to foreign governments and companies, approving the deadly drug Gardasil thereby going around part of the FDA process, and failing to do anything about the waves of immigrants crossing the Texas-Mexico border. Yes, Rick Perry has been working hard for the Bilderbergers and other globalists.

I heard the speculation when Giuliani was still a factor that Rudy-boy was going to choose Perry as his running mate. I haven't heard that as far as McCain goes, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised. What's even more scary is if McCain/Perry were to get elected, is I think McCain would get "cancered" or "heart attacked" and Perry would ascend to the Presidency. It's a freakin' doomsday scenario if I've ever heard one.

Peace

Oh, crap! President coif.

But someone’s missing from this girrrrl tableau.
Ah, that would be Gardasil Boy.
Gardasil Girl’s cancer-related virus? Sexually transmitted. She almost certainly got it from him.

So where did he get it from then? Surely not a girl! All male HPV transmitters must be bisexual I suppose.

Females can transmit HPV.

What makes you think they can't?

Males don't have uterine cervices, so that's why they weren't immediately targeted in the US. Other countries have approved the vaccine for males.

As someone else noted, HPV has been linked to other more rare cancers that affect both men and women, so eventually everyone will be urged to get the vaccine.

The ad campaign is offensive in many ways, but the threat is real and it should be of concern to all.

It's called sarcasm. Look it up. The article seems to be blaming males.

And yes men can rarely get cancer from HPV as well.

Did you hear the one about the male HPV victim who's girlfriend thought he was using a French tickler?

Sorry, that's just awful.

Grady, this topic is what I deal with day to day. It is a very big problem.

First, you are right, women definitely transmit HPV. And HPV is a great risk of leading to cancer, especially cervical, hence the targeting of women.
But I tell you this, the vaccine is a risk as well, as we have recently seen.
I believe the best answer is to properly teach our youth what great risk it poses. Most people with HPV, if I remember correctly, are in their 20's. In fact, there is actually a theory that everyone has the HPV virus, it is just a matter of whether or not it manifests. Kind of like a cold sore (Herpes).
There has also been a recent rise is syphiliis and ghonnorrhea (SP?) again. STD's seem to be running rampant with only the drug companies being the ones who claim to be able to "save the day". When in fact, if our youth would only practice safer sex, we might see a curb in such diseases.

I agree with your view.

Careless, irresponsible sex is the problem, but there are innocent victims.

It's a hard call for some, but the vaccine is an option to be considered.

......but there are innocent victims.

That is the unfortunate side to any discussion of STD's. It is such a simple solution, but, nonetheless, one that can't seem to be grasped.

The only innocent victims of STD’s are those who have been raped.

There are more though. What about those who do not know their partner is infected? Condoms don't cover up the "whole area" that may be having an outbreak. We know that abstinence is the safest way possible, but human nature leans us in the other direction. This in turn brings a whole other discussion, but let's face it, having sex is never going to be just for married couples ever again. So, unless both people carry around proof of STD negativity, you may never really know what you are getting yourself into.
