Austrailia - Austrailia has been home to some of the most post apocalyptic stuff in existence, thier crapy shack houses, Madmax movies, thier old european rip-off cars, and thier inbred looking wemon, all very much fits with the style of this island fort. England in 1770, dumped thier prisons onto the island, where they were forced to live without the arrangement of government. Many genetically predisposed violent scags litter the streets here. Infact many of these peoples grandfathers were the original pirates themselves. Hardneck individuals who at the right moment, might come in handy at stomping some alien butt.

Thanks to the Joint Defence Facility in Pine Gap, Austrailia, your country will be one, if not the only one, containing such a compound. Your sure to see many lights in the sky, as our planes discharge white lightning at the little suckers, insureing many parties and drinking, that will follow in the nights ahead.

The first signs of human life originate in austrailia, in 25,000b.c. with the very first cave paintings, which still exist today. If the aliens were to see this.. they might easly deside, that the Aboriginals may be the master race.(within the human population, of course.) My belief is, in an invasion by an alien race, that by the year 2020, we may all be worshiping those very same indigionous people, and thier white ancestors, like gods...

The Austrailian army is very reliable, and much more able than the southamerican army, and even the african ones too. And nuclear war would be; not so damnaging, especialy if the americans, EU, Russia and China just went for it... No one would think to bomb austrailia.. would they??

OK, as an Australian, I feel I should perhaps stand up for my country here and say - what the hell?

Inbred looking women? I've never noticed any inbred looking women around where I live that's for sure. How insulting, to my nation, and to it's female population. You sir, are a bigot and a misogynist.

Crappy shack houses? I live in an apartment building, which is very modern and quite nice I assure you, my folks live in a 2 story tuscan style concrete house with a swimming pool on a mountain overlooking rainforest all the way to the ocean which is a far cry from a crappy shack. I must admit, there is one person I know who lives in a shack in the bush with no electricity, but he is actually an eccentric millionaire who could afford to buy 20 houses if he wanted. The city of Melbourne has been voted time and time again, the most livable city in the world.

European rip off cars? Our three biggest car manafacturers are Ford, Holden and Toyota, the first two are American owned I believe, and Toyota is Japanese. We have lots of Japanese cars, as well as our fair share of BMW and Mercedes Benz as well.

England may well have dumped their prisons onto our land, but it didn't happen in 1770, that's when Captain Cook first landed here. Colonisation occured for the next hundred or so years, and most Australian's are actually the descendants of immigrant families that have come here long after this. My family even maintains connections with our European relatives, and we have been here since the 1800's, when we arrived of our own free will and accord.

As to our Aboriginal population, throughout our nation's history, various governments have done nothing but try and keep these people down, and only our newly elected Labour government has even set one foot on the right track to righting the wrongs that European colonists did to the Aboriginal nation. They are a very special people, and there are many theories and stories about what exactly their powers over this land, their land, have been in the past. If European colonies had treated Aboriginals as their equal, we could have learnt so very much from each other, and as a result of the way that they were treated, thousands of years of unbroken and pure knowledge until Europeans arrived has been totally lost. Stories of tribes being able to communicate with one another hundreds of kilometres apart in the desert abound. Uluru is a sacred rock, but does it and the opal stones that are found in the desert have a secret that we may now never know? There has even been evidence found of a pyramid in Australia, and I'd wager there is much more to this country than you might give us credit for.

The only thing in your entire presentation about Australia that is correct, is that it would be a good country to survive a World War in, we are not overpopulated, we have excellent land, and we are self sufficient.

Perhaps you should research your findings a bit more before you present them.
