Those Two are, in my Opinion, Elijah and something irks me to say the Daughter of Babylon, not sure of the source I read that from. You know those Scripture Study books? The bits and pieces of books that weren't published and whatever? My mom has loads of them.

And they speak fire to anyone that tries to harm them. I thought only one died, I'm not sure... Oh! They die for three days, and it becomes a big deal in the media(Many from all over the world mourn for them. Or Something.) Then they're ressurected.

Why did "God is Salvation" say to some of the people standing in his presence, "Some of you shall not pass away, till you have seen the Kingdom come in all its glory?"...or why was he telling everybody that, "the Kingdom of Heaven is in you!...or one more, Why did he tell his disciples that from the day he rose, "you will see the son of man seated at the righthand of the father, forever more", if it were not true?

Study the meanings of the names, places, and things in the bible, it will make a lot more sense to you. Babylon, means confusion...hence the mystery. Did you ever wonder why it is that in many of the old testament books as well as in revelations it says, "Let the Reader Understand". It says this, because it is talking to you specifically. When Babylon falls, confusion falls, not a country, meaning, "A great light has shined in the darkness"..."for unto us, a son has been born and the governing of the Nations is on his shoulders". We have all been in confusion for so long we don't see it anymore. God is humble and desires to walk with you not against you. If you are looking for these signs of sensationalism, the only one you will receive is Jonah in the belly of a whale. Turn from confusion for it will fall and be broken up says, the LORD GOD OF HOSTS who is a God that is not far off, He is Right at hand. Peace...letthereaderunderstand

I don't know exactly what you're trying to say, but you seem to be pro-Bible, not anti-Jesus-existence, so I say he told them that because they'd get to see him resurrected. This was the "Kingdom in all its Glory" because they too would one day be in that same form, post mortem, with Jesus and whoever else. And also, they saw him crucified, some watched, which can also be interpreted as the kingdom coming in all its' glory, because he was titled King of the Jews on his deathboard in 3 languages. His kingdom came, on the cross. Gosh I'm sounding so evangelicalish .. it scares me. I'm a militant liberal, I swearz!

As to the two witnesses, it is a toss up. One is def Elijah, the other could be Enoch, who was also taken alive, in the flesh, into 'heaven' (or abducted by aliens, whatever your take on it is) just like Elijah was. But alot of people think it will be Elijah and Moses, however Moses died a human death, so I don't see how it could be him. These are the only two characters we know who did not die a human death.

I think this will all be somehow related 'before' space exploration can begin.
The Apollo programs were a sort of short vacation trips to the moon and
thankfully...no one has died either on the moon itself or in pure space.
If man leaves the planet (more specifically the firmament, the International Space Station is still within it) then those few last pages of the Bible will have to be re-examined....before the commencement of the long stares. An Alien could still be a man disguised as an alien...So instead of the science playing God...
for me the space-thing holds more interest in terms of Bible Revelations.
God is not without...guidance.

I thought Babylon was the newly risen Roman Empire (European Union) and the woman sitting on the beast the Catholic Church (false prophet).

I just don't see Obama as the beast ... he lacks the charisma I feel the beast will have. People the world over are watching ole Obama and are cheering for him. Not me!

I actually post a thread like this for I believe that america has the possbility of being the babylon in revelations plus there are many sciptures at would think it in Jereimiah.

As do I think that the antichrist is a women I dout. I dont think the world would listen and unite under a women. I am not racist or a dont like women in leadership position. But the world does.

The question would be sud we stay in america if we are in babylon. What do we do when we realize that america is drunk with the wine of the saints. And that america is not perfect and that our government and politics are the rout of all evil. People claim to believe but dont have a personal relationship with God. And tho we are not perfect and do sin. That does'nt mean on a dayly basis that you do good under Gods eyes. America does'nt do those things. They use religion, money, and position to keep for themselves what they want.

I think if Jesus is to come today or soon. The world is about to c the wrath of God on all kindoms. And america will be in the middle of it. The antichrist will be a guy a man.

Remember revelations the whore that sits on many waters. and drunk with the wine of the saints. could well be america.

Never did the bible say that John was a cathic. Second the antichrist could or could not come from cathics. That does mean that revelations would be out the window. For johns revelations didnt come from cathics they came from God and Jesus.

Jesus says that the gates to heaven and hell are wide open. Revelation says that 144 thousand thousand go to heaven. Heaven and hell are places to go. If you believe christ said then you would believe what he
said.

Revelations comeing from Jesus throw john said that babylon sits on many waters. and that She is drunk with the wine of saints. there for babylon is a place a country a kingdom. again we cant read part of the bible and not all of it.

We all have our variations of theory, and this is because at present there isn't enough concrete evidence to point us all in the same direction.

This is because, as many remind us, that no man knows the day and hour of the second coming, and that it will happen like a thief in the night, this I think people misinterpret. It simply means the beginning of that chain of events will start like a thief in the night, suddenly.

So it is hidden from us ultimately until it happens. We can try to guess and put this and that together, which we do, but really in the end we are just throwing darts at a dartboard notorious for not being easy to score a hit on at all.

And also, the Bible warns against false prophets and calls them sinners and evil. This is why I leave any prediction I make open to alternative possibilities, I never try to nail the prophecy by giving an exact date or lots of intimate detail. That's just to keep myself in good standing with the Lord. All of which I say can and is hopefully wrong in regards to the theory presented in this thread.

Not kidding at all...check the most recent books by astrophysicist Hugh Ross. His website is www.reasons.org. Science is changing their minds everyday and have more and more evidence of a master creator. You don't have to look hard for it, but you do have to think about it.

Hello I wanted to get back to you. I was new when I started here and didn't even realize this posted, so I'm just now seeing this, but I wanted to respond to you. www.scripture4all.org... has a hebrew and greek direct word for word translation that I suggest you look in to, because the bibles that are in english are manipulated, Especially the KING JAMES Version. Check into how our bible was put together (council of nicea, founding church fathers) and most importantly by who...hint the same ones that created heaven and hell. Hell is not called hell in hebrew, but gehenna or genesis. Don't be fooled by the image which is handed to you, but in truth look. There are reasons why certain sayings and verses remained in the form of "Golgatha, this being translated"The Skull" or "Eli, Eli lama sabacthani" being translated "my god, my god why has thou forsaken me". Beware of the SCRIBES AND PHARISEES which outwardly are sheep, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. These were left to make you say, "I wonder why just those verses are directly translated?", these were hidden by the holy one from even the scribes writing bad translations, who took not into account what they were doing but to you they are a door. Another interesting note is that Hebrew of the old testament only had "tenses" for time in special situations, but mainly was always spoken in present tense. This means the words always mean right now. This is why it is said, "Today if you would hear my voice and turn away from your sinful nature, that I might heal you." Even this is not the correct translation, because what you think heal means is not what it means. To be healed is to be stopped from sinful action by way of ridicule and fierce attack. "By his stripes, we are healed"...stopped, repented. This is why he told people not to go out telling others what happened to them, but the people were to scared not to.
