McCain hopes Castro to "meet Marx soon"

www.reuters.com
Republican presidential front-runner John McCain suggested on Friday that he hoped retired Cuban leader Fidel Castro would die soon and said Castro's brother will be a worse leader.

"I hope he has the opportunity to meet Karl Marx very soon," McCain told a town-hall style meeting of about 150 people, referring to communist theoretician Marx who died on March 14, 1883.

This man has no problem calling for the death of others and continuing wars in multiple countries.

His moral compass is really screwed up and he is certainly no Christian.

Another evil man to possibly rule the country. What a great direction the Republican party is headed.

You sure picked a winner

McCain, who is popular among conservative Cuban-Americans, also has said that if he wins the November 4 U.S. presidential election he would keep up pressure for political change in Cuba's one-party state.

Yeah keep the embargo on Cuba you dolt.

You're only hurting the innocent Cubans. The government and businesses can still trade with other Central and South American countries.

I can't believe you're so freaking stupid.

This is from the source I linked in the additional news links:

"So Raul Castro gets an audience with an American president, and all the prestige such a meeting confers, without having to release political prisoners, allow free media, political parties, and labor unions, or schedule internationally monitored free elections," McCain said.

"Senator Obama says he would meet Cuba's dictator without any such steps in the hope that talk will make things better for Cuba's oppressed people.

"Meet, talk, and hope may be a sound approach in a state legislature, but it is dangerously naive in international diplomacy where the oppressed look to America for hope and adversaries wish us ill."

Yes McCain, other people don't have the same agenda as you do.

You only want your corporate buddies access to Cuba's wealth of natural resources.

You do not care about the Cuban people, ditto with Iraq.

You don't give a # about anyone but yourself you war mongering asshole.

The related threads I posted are there to prove this man doesn't give a crap about innocent civilians.

He's willing to sacrifice our soldiers in Iraq and continue the murder of innocents (as well as Afghanistan).

Not only that, but he's willing to continue a failed policy in Cuba even after Fidel steps down. I don't really care who is in charge of the country, that doesn't mean you have to punish the civilians.

We essentially have a dictator in control of the US corporate state, but you seem ok with that.

Douche.

This man (McCain, not Castro) is a menace to society.

The longer he stays in power, the longer complacency and corruption will continue in the White House (if he is elected).

Let's hope Obama can beat him as I'm not a fan of the Clinton.

I'd prefer to see Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich win, but that's not very likely unfortunately.

Its sad the best candidates are shunned and called 'radicals.'

Idiots.

Yes he has lost it.

A man born of a different age leading in the 'new age.' Its pretty sad.

Ron Paul may be old, but at least he is somewhat openminded.

I don't think either really connect to the younger generation (on purpose anyway). However, one of them blatantly attempts to murder the youth.

Guess who?

Bush Jr. Part Douche

Grady regardless of personal opinion, McCain should not be advocating for the death of anyone.

He is getting a bit old himself. He's in his 70s is he not?

Well one bad fall and that's a broken hip.

What if someone were to...oh I don't know, hope he falls and hurts himself.

Would you want that person to be President?

No, because McCain is the GOP poster boy these days.

But when its anybody but a beloved member of the grand old party, there's no issue.
