ATS MIX: Opie and Anthony LIVE From New York With Dave Rabbit - SE10 In
this ATS MIX Special Edition, the tables are turned and Dave consents to a rare interview with radio legends “Opie and Anthony” of the highly
rated CBS/XM syndicated “Opie and Anthony Radio Show” LIVE from the big apple, New York City. The boys discuss the Radio First Termer Show,
AboveTopSecret.Com, The ATS MIX Show and a few surprises. This show, although FCC compliant, contains historical radio clips from Dave Rabbit’s 1971
Saigon, Vietnam radio show called “Radio First Termer”. Some references may not be suitable for all. Listener discretion is advised. The original
show may be heard and downloaded from Dave’s podcast site below. Special THANKS to Johnny Anonymous for another masterful post production job!

Hi guys. I'm a long time visitor to this site, and a fairly new member. I just wanted to express my appreciation of your shows. They are great, but I
do wish they were longer.
As for this show I listened and enjoyed....with reluctence. I've always been annoyed by Oppie and Anthony. Mabey it's just because I have been a
Howard Stern fan since I first heard him on the radio when I was 15. F Jackie!!
I would like torequest a Richard Hoagland interview. I know he does interviews all over the place, but I think you three would have great chemistry
together. And to be honest I just love hearing Richard speak. Another suggestion would be the Project Camelot guys. Well, anyway, thanks for the good
times. I enjoy listening to very few people talk. Howard, Hoagland,C2C, Lear, and you guys. Very good company indded in my opinion. And please, do
longer shows. That's not a complaint, that's just how much I love the show.

Larry,
First, I'd like to welcome you to AboveTopSecret.com, our Home Away From Home, and now your's too.
Secondly, I'd like to point out that the ATSMIX show runs twice a week, and the shows usually last on the order of an hour a piece. So, if you really
like a longer show, then just download them both at the end of the week, and listen to them in one sitting. Kind of extends the whole experience that
much further.
Just my 5 cents...
Now, Dave and Johnny,
Larry has one small point that I'd like to address. I think that the Skeptic Overview should be expanded a bit to encompass more threads. Because we
all know that SO has more threads that he wants to talk about, but can't because of time constraints.
Now I know that we're trying to keep the files small, so that people on dial-up can download them (do people still use that archaic form of
communication?), but couldn't the show be split up into two smaller parts, each easier to download, all while covering more material?
Just a suggestion. Either way, KEEP IT UP!!

Dave, I've said to you in other areas of the site and I've said it to you via emails - thanks for a great interview. It was amazing to hear your
story again, live on the radio. It was even better hearing the shoutouts. Sadly, I don't have any friends so nobody called me to say they heard my
name on the air yesterday. (mental note, get friends before the next shoutout).
Dave, in one of the emails you sent me yesterday you were called the Lenny Bruce of radio. That guy was dead on. Not just in that arena but in the
entire email. He really nailed it. While I know there are bigger and better things coming, what you did back then, and what you do now, are amazing
and you should be damned proud of yourself, even if you spoke at 33 1/3 when all those records you were spinning were moving at 45.
Here's to the first of many big radio celebrations.
Keep up the good work.
edited to ask - did you send them a link to the thread?

Thanks Steve-O..... and YES they have shortcuts to the thread here, POM and the SIDEBAR there. I'm going to do a few promos for them that I think
they will use. These guys are loads of fun and hope to continue a long standing relationship with them.

O&A Party Rock...
Here's a link to the discussion on an O&A message board that I frequent.
This explains my humor and the warns I've gotten for it.
This site is fairly NSFW and will offend you, so you've been warned

As for me, I missed it live and haven't listened to it yet, but I'll get around to it over the weekend.

Man I thought it was great when I was driving down the road and heard O&A talking about Dave... I immediately grabbed my phone and called the show, I
wanted to let them know where they could find Dave, thats right I was going to try to plug ATS on the air.
Well they didn't put me on the air, so I hurried to work and sent an Instant Feedback to the show and they read it on the air That was so
cool hearing ATS on O&A.
Dave the interview was great.
Today they played your entire tape live on the air and uncut...
You Are Awesome !

Dave, no matter how many times I hear it, your story is always riveting.
I'd love to see a proper motion picture treatment. It might be hard to tell the story without attaching you're real name to the Dave Rabbit
character, though.
Then again, they could just always refer to you as "Airman". Creative writing could get around that.
After all, Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca won the best picture Oscar and many film-goers were surprised to realize afterward that the leading lady
never had a name.
Great interview and great clips played all morning by O&A.
Edit to add: Listening for the second time. Dang, you hated them long songs, eh? Whadja thinka YES's Tales of Topographic Oceans?

Loved the interview Dave. Kind of short though, huh? It was more of an intro-type of thing than anything else I noticed.
Either way, good stuff!! Now you got me listening to RFTs again... NICE!!!

Wow!
The hosts of this show are truly annoying, and slightly idiotic; that aside I never knew Dave Rabbit had such a history in radio
Great show though, had to fast forward to the Rabbit interview, those other guys annoy the hell out of me!

I love O&A. I don't necessarily agree with their political views (well, in particular Anthony), but they are very funny. I can't wait to
hear the interview, will listen later.
