Oil strikes record $US101

OIL prices struck a record $US101.27 a barrel overnight amid renewed global supply jitters, analysts said.

New York's main oil futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in March, subsequently receded, but closed up 73 cents at an all-time high of $US100.74.

Wow. I guess its time to pick another oil rich nation to invade. Lets see if we can get it to $150.

Ever since the US began its so called 'War on Terror' we have seen nothing but a rise in oil prices. There are still acts of terrorism being carried out all over the world, and where is the US Military? In Iraq and Afghanistan, providing 'Democracy'.

Logic tells me that the US effectively controls Iraqi oil, probably since day one of the invasion. Why am I paying upto $1.50 (Australian Dollars) a litre for petrol?
