You know, I am not certain, but the title of your thread may actually be considered a violation of the T&C of the website. You may want to consider rephrasing it as an obvious question rather than as a statement. As it is stated, it looks like it violates;

Op congratulations . You might have just won a all expense paid week end vacation in the closest NSA interrogation resort . And possible a free water boarding seminar .

Times have changed 8 years ago you could have said . I wish could just get a bat and beat my boss to death . No crime involved there till you bought the bat or acquired one . Now days under the new patriot act . Now the simple stating that is considered conspiracy to commit X crime no need to go any further the statement is a crime now . The bar for proof of conspiracy to commit a crime has changed where idol talk is a crime rather than making real steps to commit the crime . My guess is either statement is a crime now !

Want to kill the president!!! Hey that's a statement not a threat of bodily harm! Dont let them (in Wash.D.C. and the affluent of the world) impede on our freedom of speech! Use it but dont abuse it. "Is the president the ONLY ONE that one may want to kill???? Good greatious!" Somebody might very well want to kill the "global elite" and the affluent S.O.B.'s of the world and drag them by their feet and burn them at the stake! And all for the survival and protection af the average world citizens. Look what average civilized people did to the statue of Saddam Hussein. People that rule by the idea that "might makes right" are bound for the gates of hell and usually suffer even before they go there. Okay, now this was an article, not a threat!! And it is not illegal even though some jerks may want to make it that way. Taking away freedom of speech is an ugly oppressive quest for ugly power...In real life, I would not want to kill the president even though I may get mad at him at times. I just want to be able to get together with enough people in order to meet him in numbers and threaten to impeach him if he doesnot confess up to who he has really been working with and disclose ALL his papers and data to the people. This would apply to just about any president we have had. Doing it the politically correct way I guess. The only people that many would honestly like to bludgion to death are the ultra-rich who have bribed and co-erced the president and our politicians. Let the guys keep the money, give the gov a second chance and show no mercy to the ultra-rich secret elite as they never intend to show us any. Saying that one "wants to kill the president" may be turned into an illegal statement due to so-called anti-terrorist measures but I believe that that is anything but an anti-terror measure, it's the one's with power, exercising their dominion over us to see if they can yet take it any farther. Stand up America! First amendment is for ever!

Don't qute me but I don't believe saying that exact phrase is Illega, although the other posters have told you what you would get. And in today's age who knows how long they would hold you before seeing a Judge so I wouldn't try it...

Anyways I think the actual Illegal Phrase, again don't quote me but, is "I am GOING to kill the President" is the illegal one. This is an actual threat against him and not what you want to do, hell I want to kick G.W. and Cheney in the balls, but I won't!

This USED to be a free country. The so-called "patriot act" is one of the most ruthless oppressive passages I think I have ever known of. And those sons of -----'es that were involved in the drafting and passage of that stinking bill,,,,,,well,,,, you know WHO they are working for. Now we can logically consider this, who are they working against????????..............................Us. If we'd all get off our rear ends and tell our politicians that we disapprove and demand this to be changed, we would still have time. If we wait too long, like our christian folks do, it will soon be too late. The devil's american dream will come true.

I know that I am going outside of the bounderies here but I truly beleive that this is a critical issue and I just need to come forth and make it known. I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA. I may be paranoid but I do truly fear that certain conspirators want to kill Barack Obama. I need to tell more Reps and senators. Could you imagine the nation's very first black president (especially one with a labor friendly agenda) getting assasinated???? The worry litterally brings me to tears. I wish the special forces would work in integration with the F.B.I. during the inaugural era. This is a critical time and serious situation. No sencible person would want anything to happen to him.
If you beleive in God and have a decent heart, PLEASE PRAY FOR OBAMA'S PROTECTION. And write your senators! Many thanks to A.T.S. and all the readers.
