Different.

"I want to kill"

This phrase is a threat.

"I want to see him dead"

A little more gray. It could be a threat, if said in such a manner that suggests you are planning on making it happen.

Flagged and Starred. Sprinkled quite a few stars in this thread in fact : )

As the guy said, you have beans, OP, to have initiated this thread

and while the secret service may be reading it in between picking their molars and reaching for another donut ... I suspect that they (and millions worldwide) would be overjoyed if someone succeeded instead of merely announcing the top of their wish-list.

Who likes the guy, anyway ?

We've all said, publicly or privately, that he's insane.

He's cost hundreds of thousands of lives

He's let the enemy in through the front gate and helped them steal the family valuables

He's such an idiot he can't even open a simple door when the world's media have him in their spotlight

Didn't he vomit into someone's lap at a State banquet ?

He falls off bicycles

He dismisses the death and suffering of thousands (for which HE was responsible !) and instructs the media to 'watch this swing'

He's not a good puppet, for pete's sake ! Even with Cheyney's arm full-stretch up his backside and working his mouth -- he STILL cannot complete a comprehensible sentence and that's WITH an ear-piece and a script of one-syllables !

He's a coward who never went to war -- but he sends YOUR menfolk to die

Gee, good on the guy who wrote the song. He has beans too, even though I've never listened to him

Here's a thought. What if there was a day, worldwide, when everyone who doesn't like the guy, walked around in public wearing a sign containing The Threat. 6.6 billion of us versus how many 'secret agents' ?
LOL

I believe you are thinking of his father when referring to the vomit.

Maybe you are right. I'm not sure. I just know his father had a similar incident when in Asia(?), I believe.

HW Bush throws up in Japan

Under questioning, he acknowledged that Mr. Bush had thrown up at his seat just before collapsing and had been in what he called "a faint condition."

Figures. Weak stomaches. Can only handle detonated frogs and limbless 'foreigners'.

Now Barbara Bush is something else again.

Did you read her alleged rant a few years back about Anyone Thinking of Hurting Ma Boy Better Think Again ' ?

Actually, if the UK zionists had a brain in their collective skulls, they'd substitute Barbara Bush for that unelected joke Brown. Wouldn't take much to effect the substitution. Barbie and Brown both have the same square heads and psychotic gaze -- in my opinion and allegedly. Bit of brown boot polish and a shorter haircut and Barb would pass for Brown quite easily. She's a lot more masculine in appearance and demeanor, for a start.

Jeepers .. what have I done !! Why am I giving the illuminati these ideas for free ?

Ah well, if 'Brown' begin speaking in a more gravelly voice and seems to be doing less hip and wrist swishing than usual ... you'll know the feds read our posts and steal our ideas

Interesting post, OP. I had never actually looked into this issue before. I just took it as a given that it was a bad thing to threaten a presidents life.

Still I am glad it was brought up as it prompted me to actually learn about it rather than assuming.

Here is more on the subject, some case law involving threats against the president and privileged communication between a psychiatrist and client.

caselaw.lp.findlaw.com.../data2/circs/10th/976066.html

Edit to add;

I thought I would summarize the case for those who dont enjoy reading case law. Bottom line, if you tell your shrink you want to harm the president, it could allow him to violate your psychotherapist-client privilege and tattle on you, but only if he really thinks you are a threat and telling on you is the only way to prevent it.

In this case, the record discloses a statement made to a psychiatrist during a confidential session prompting the therapist to implement a course of treatment which included discharging Mr. Glass from hospital supervision. Taken by themselves, these circumstances are hardly an indication of a threat which can only be averted by means of disclosure. The record further discloses ten days elapsed before the Secret Service was contacted, triggering its interview of the psychotherapist.

Thus, on remand, the district court must proceed under Fed. R. Evid. 104(a) to determine whether, in the context of this case, the threat was serious when it was uttered and whether its disclosure was the only means of averting harm to the President when the disclosure was made. In particular, the court will want to hear Dr. Darbe's opinion of the seriousness of the threat as well as the opinion of any appropriate authority who deals with the protection of the President. The plea of guilty is VACATED , and the cause is remanded for further proceedings.

Thats a good question. I really dont know what, if anything, our Secret Service could do to someone from another country that made a threat like that. I guess if your country was really friendly to ours, they would persuade your own government to arrest you or question you, or even hand you over for them to question.

I would say as a general rule, making threats against powerful people is a very unwise thing to do.
